If you're old enough to remember the nineties, you might recall SURGE, Coca-Cola's "fully-loaded citrus soda with carbos." Internally, it was developed under the moniker "MDK," or "Mountain Dew Killer." Externally, it represented everything that was the nineties in the US — JNCOs, [I]Tony Hawk Pro Skater, pogs, and [I]Kenan & Kel are just slivers of nostalgia compared to Surge. Consequently, it also didn't last more than a couple years into the 2000s. Remember this? And only on Amazon. Well, what a shame.
I never had Surge. Was/Is it any good?
Never heard of it, it must suck.
wonder how it will do being amazon exclusive
It was good but I'd liken it more to what early energy drinks were instead of being mt dew. I'll probably buy some just for old times sake though.
Amazon Link for those who want to order it http://www.amazon.com/Surge-12-16-FL-Cans/dp/B00M2OGS08/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Never heard of it, it must suck.
I suspect some bias here, but I can't quite put my tongue on it...
Huh...I've had a magnet of this on my fridge for lord knows how long. Would've had no idea what it was if it weren't for that.
Today I learned this is actually a variation of something we've had in Norway since 1996 called Urge. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d0/Urge.jpg/800px-Urge.jpg[/t] It's delicious.
maybe Pepsi will try to compete by bringing back Crystal Pepsi
I don't care how it tastes, I'm not paying $20 for a fucking 12 pack of warm soda.
I don't care how it tastes, I'm not paying $20 for a fucking 12 pack of warm soda.
Good thing it is only 14 dollars then and it has the ability to be refrigerated.
I don't care how it tastes, I'm not paying $20 for a fucking 12 pack of warm soda.
why does it have to be warm? Don't you have a fridge or something?
I don't care how it tastes, I'm not paying $20 for a fucking 12 pack of warm soda.
first of all it's 14 bucks though i guess if you count shipping it's different and second of all do you have a fucking fridge cause that's how this shit works i don't know what backwards ass place you live in but here we get our sodas warm and pop em in the fridge for later
Was the 90's version made with high fructose corn syrup? Because this new version does.
Sorry, jeeze. I'll take my warm beverages elsewhere.

What is "surge" i cannot remember such a thing, i guess it never was a thing here maybe
Aaaaahhhhh holy fuck I remember Surge. I've been looking for it for over a fucking decade, I didn't even know it was a Coca-Cola product. I remember drinking it as a kid on the way up my grandparents' house on Lake Sinclair.
surge party at cubemans house ordered 5 boxes
surge party at cubemans house ordered 5 boxes
Cubemanv2 vs Surge [editline]15th September 2014[/editline]
Amazon Link for those who want to order it http://www.amazon.com/Surge-12-16-FL-Cans/dp/B00M2OGS08/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
14 dollars. Geez. That's like 3x the price per oz of regular coke or mountain dew at my local store.
surge party at cubemans house ordered 5 boxes
Neider says YES to Surge.
surge party at cubemans house ordered 5 boxes
If you like surge so much, why don't you marry it!
When we were kids, rumor around the neighborhood was that surge stunted penis growth or some other stupid juvenile thing so no one touched the stuff. Given the sugar content I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't one of my more hyperactive friends' parents that came up with it.
Best amazon comment so far... I am converting my 401k into Surge. I am gonna ride out this market.
SSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEE!!!
It already sold out I think. I just tried to order two cases and as I was attempting to add it to my cart the status was updated to "email status" so I guess it got taken down, sold out or something.
Will be funny if people bought all the surge they can afford only to find out after the first sip that it tastes nothing like the old surge and is shit [sp]After the urge for surge they got the urge to purge (their stomach contents)[/sp]

It's brought back simply because of facebook.
