Group B eh? You have me interested.
Codemasters? No thanks.
There's some download links for the beta flying around some websites
Dirt 2 the only racing game to have ever held my interest for more than 2 hours? Yes please
Codemasters? No thanks.
You do know codemasters published the original colin mcrae games, right?
http://community.codemasters.com/forum/dirt-3-general-discussion-1339/421634-dirt3-confirmed-cars.html great car list if you ask me
You do know codemasters published the original colin mcrae games, right?
From my experience with their recent games, I don't look forward to it, whether they've made a good racing game in the past or not.
You do know codemasters published the original colin mcrae games, right?
But then they went and did DiRT 2.
But then they went and did DiRT 2.
thats a bad thing?
Bought, Dirt 2 rocked my socks.
I'm liking that more and more games have the 10% off for pre-orders these days.
You do know codemasters published the original colin mcrae games, right?
So it allows them to make crappy games nowadays?
Will wait until actual proof comes out that it's not the bullshit Xgames crap that DiRT2 was. They said it's Group-B but the screenshots don't seem to show that very well.
Did you even watch the group B trailer?
Did you even watch the group B trailer?
The trailer this person speaks of is here:
thats a bad thing?
For those who like the Colin McRae games, that's the worst thing they could've done. Only think that keeps me interested in DiRT 3, is Group B. Ken Block & Bros can go jump off a cliff for all I care.
Sorry, did you expect to still be racing against Colin McRae?
No, I expected to have realism in my game, not herpderp I'm Mr. Block I can spin circles in my automobile. [editline]22nd April 2011[/editline] I wouldn't really mind if he didn't suck ass in the real world.
Sorry, did you expect to still be racing against Colin McRae?
I'm talking about the legacy, and how they took most of the serious rallying out and replaced it with showoff of MONSTER energy drink by a douche wearing a flat brimmed cap.
I'm liking that more and more games have the 10% off for pre-orders these days.
I'm more loving the fact that if you wait a maximum of 6 months, almost any game in existence is in the Summer/Winter Steam sale.
I'm talking about the legacy, and how they took most of the serious rallying out and replaced it with showoff of MONSTER energy drink by a douche wearing a flat brimmed cap.
you seriously pay more attention to those sorts of things than the actual game? I got it for £12 in a sale, its a brilliant game, especially with friends online.
So it allows them to make crappy games nowadays?
That's weird, i don't remember saying that.
What the hell do you mean by "Those sorts of things"? It's the very atmosphere and foundation of the game. The game was designed around the X-Games crap, which has ruined it.
I couldnt give a crap about monster energy sponsorship, who the hell Ken Block is or what hes wearing on his head. Games a blast, nuff said.
Yeah I guess it is fun if you don't actually give a shit about realistic rally driving.
well to be fair Iv never played the original Colin McRae games, were they literally rallying sims? Because then I can see if the Dirt series is a disappointment, but I wouldn't let that stop you from enjoying the series.
But then they went and did DiRT 2.
Different market entirely, it might not be the best simulation of off road racing but its still one hell of a fun game.
CMR has never been a sim [editline]22nd April 2011[/editline] I'm looking forward to dirt3, they could have kept the ken block faggotry out of it though
DiRT 2 was fun, but I would prefer a more realistic approach to the rallying.
DiRT2s rallymode was fun. The soundtrack, energydrinks, ken block and other stuntdriversand the goddamn sandbuggies/pickups/horrible vehicles with arcade controls can fuck off tho. Aka 80% of it. I really digged GRiD tho, so i'm looking forward to this.
Regardless of what people say, I think Dirt2 is bundles of fun. The music works well with the pacing of the game. I just hope that a Dirt-ish game has larger scale rally's like baja across a desert or more wild areas and ability to take a stronger cinematic role with the camera instead of having it always cycle cameras. Sort of like how GTA works, except for the whole race, also to save movies too.
