Yeah, he's definitely got confidence down and it's an excellent illustration of how being straightforward can get results, but if you're not good looking it just don't work that way.

It definetly helps, but its not really the key thing that decides everything. Confidence and a good personality are more important to girls, whereas good looks are more important to us males.

Well no shit. You don't act blunt unless the cards are on your table or time is of the essence. The guy in the video was moderately attractive and rather calm; and the girl seemed polite. Could someone less physically attractive pull it off? Certainly. You're only as good as what you project. If you seem nervous, people pick up on it. I've found that being totally forthright and honest with people has saved me a lot of shit in life, from friends to military training instructors - people have a hard time getting (overly) mad if you're straight-forward with them.
(It's still totally possible some socially-inept person could try this and get fucking obliterated by a total bitch.)

It's super easy to just get a number. Anything after gets more difficult. I've ran into people and if you act like he does (really forward and to the point) they will think you're in a hurry and it adds to the risk of not seeing you again.
No really. I get a shit ton of numbers. But you can bet a chunk of them won't reply, another chunk won't like you/you don't like them, ect
So really it comes down to compatibility after awhile, obviously
also how fast he does it is actually awkward, asking for a number with not even a conversation is weird. (if a girl did that to me, i'd think it was neat but i'd still be weirded out, don't act like you wouldn't be) Most of the time my quickest number gets are after about 2-20 minutes of conversation. You can tell she is a bit awkward-ed out.
