i had several CDs with Домовенок Кузя games on them, i always thought that they were made in Russia.
...my whole life is a lie
I knew from a young age that Hugo was Danish, but I don't think they ever aired the show in the Czech Republic. I knew him exclusively as a video game character, and it surprised me when I found out he was in fact from a game show.
I still have some of them lying around, including Hugo in Space, which could never install on my computer for some odd reason, and some of the games involving his kids, like the one where his daughter Rut travels around the world or the one where his son Rat gets lost in a forest and has to use math to get back to everyone. When they weren't minigame compilations, presumably taken from the show, they were very much edutainment games.
On that same note, looking up in which countries he aired, I'm shocked to find he aired in Serbia, though considering Croatia appeared in the video, I guess it isn't too surprising.
holy shit was that really a teaser for the movie long time ago
"A former TV-game show star, Hugo, now a hotel janitor and a single dad, gets lured into a comeback. His daughter, first enthralled by a celeb-dad, soon finds herself abandoned and to get her dad back home enters Hugo’s new show. Meanwhile Hugo’s old archenemy, the mountain troll Fredo, steals Hugo’s place in the show. Hugo’s daughter ends up fighting the raging mountain troll disguised as her dad on live TV, forcing Hugo to his ultimate quest: how to get rid of fame and save his daughter."
