Surprisingly not 3.5 More commentary than gameplay, lol.
I dread to think what BF3-4 is like on console, it's hard enough getting decent teamwork on PC. Sometimes a decent commander won you the game too so now there's even more variables thrown in.
HE shells deal more damage to armored targets than AP shells. I dont think dice understands how high explosive works (unless they mean HEAT but then whats up with AT rounds causing splash damage)
It's shaped charge so they mean HEAT
I don't know why but that map reminds me of Fall of Berlin in 2142.
Wow that turret is turning way crazy fast
This literally looks like BattleField 3.5. Not saying the new customization features and what-not are bad, because they are great, but a WHOLE new game for something that could have been DLC/Patches? I don't know, man. I remember when a new game meant everything was literally "game-changing" than the previous version. Not barely adding new features on the same exact previous version of a game, and calling it a brand new one.

Looks kind of brown-ish
Looks kind of brown-ish
Don't worry, soon enough there will be the post-release blue-tones.
Don't worry, soon enough there will be the post-release blue-tones.
Don't forget the bloom, loads of bloom.
BF4 is to BF3 what Battlefield Vietnam was to BF 1942, or BF 2142 was to BF2. Same engine, some reworked mechanics and a change of setting. It really shouldn't matter what they call it. The game looks great, can't wait to see what they'll do with the other maps.

This is Battlefield 3 into Battlefield 4, one main installment directly into another with no inbetween and no expansion or alternate thing. I just personally think that adding Commander Mode back in and tweaking or adjusting some things with new maps in-place doesn't warrant putting a new main installment digit on there...
I hope that they just mixed up the names of HE and AP tank rounds. Having them backwards just doesn't seem like something they would do.
Do we have proper screens of the new designs for the soldiers?
This looks fucking awesome.
Still looks like battlefield 3 with some reskins.
it's looking to be what BF3 should've been and could've been, so it's basically BF3.5
I like how everything is covered with dust. Like as if a building had collapsed. Makes it much more realistic. Thats probably why it has such a brown tone.
Battlefield 3.1
I like how everything is covered with dust. Like as if a building had collapsed. Makes it much more realistic. The size of the dust cloud/whether or not its for the rest of the round I'm not sure.
not going to even bother buying BF4. BF3 was a steaming pile of shit for me
Visually the game looks fine right now, but I'm sure they'll fuck that up with those eye-searing light filters and BLOOM
till they announce the netcode is serverside and not clientside, i wont even bother.
Why is everything so grayish.
Because their altered artistic vision now considers reality to have no colors. More seriously, I can understand the contrast of having soldiers stick out more against bland backgrounds or something, but first that annoying blue hue was in everything in BF3, and now BF4 just has.. No color, or at least an extreme emphasis on it. Is it artistic approach, an easy method of something, game balance?
Why is everything so grayish.
A skyscraper fell.
