Do you like Tacit Ronin? Do you like Romeo Blue punching a Kaiju in the face? Then this is for you. It's pretty interesting.

Pacific Rim is one of those few movies that the CGI looked just right and not completely fake.
And suddenly I want to watch Pacific Rim again.
Pacific Rimjob
It's always incredible to see how far special FX have come over the years, especially looking back at older movies.
I completely understand how CGI is made but I'm always baffled by tricks that involve applying different layers of many real life shots. How the fuck they always get the lighting right?

Lots of editing and takes.

You can't really edit lighting, it's more about having a lot of planning and precision when shooting the individual elements

They don't. Lots of color correction and trickery (Like adding massive gradients to the whole scene, layers of blur, etc.) Still looks good though.

blue and orange
I saw a floating guy in there. Their positioning is a bit off in a couple cases.
Whoa, when in the prologue did we see Karloff??
Is that a deleted scene, because he was the first Kaiju to get taken down by a Jaeger, according to the comic. Badass, I had no idea they had a model for him.
He's in it for a few seconds during the prologue
