Gabe learned about VNN about 5 minutes after Tyler asked him if he knows about him and then had a meltdown when Gabe answered he's not familiar with him. The invitation for interview was another 5 minutes after that so I wouldn't​ really count on that Valve is very familiar with the background of VNN.
