wish he had an x-ray move of him beating someone's chest and having not only the rib cage break but their lungs as well.
holy shit this is gory as hell
fucking pumped
My question is how the fuck did someone that got their neck snapped clean midway through the damn tournament survive.
When Boon teased the Shao Lin footwraps I thought for sure they would add a female monk who might be a descendant; then we get the man himself.
Either he's a Quan Chi ringer or some shenanigans what has happened occurred.
Kitana died too so, seriously, wtf.
wheres liu kang at?
In the fryer at the local outworld KFC.

You know he'll be released later for $5.99 as DLC.
I'm really hating having locked content on my game discs unless I pay extra or buy a game I know nothing of. Though this is Mortal Kombat, it's almost always going to be fantastic, I still get annoyed by these things.
i mean the storyline for MK9 was pretty cheesy so they'll have no problem explaining how those characters came back to life
preorder now to fight as goro
Fuuuuuck youuuuu
I'm still going to pre-order because I want to play Goro but screw NRS

They even extended the preorder ads to the comment section with a gamestop bot throwing links to a preorder page.

Vote Johnny Cage for "Least Expected To Live By The End Of The Campaign But Did" at next years Game Awards.

Eh, it was probably a decision from higher up.
They are owned by a larger company, after all.

Goro's probably still in the game and story, as a Sub-Boss, like MK9.

Brutality? Would LOVE to see that shit return.

Brutalities and Friendships need to return for sure.

According to Ed Boon last year at E3 2014, they're going for a more gritty/dark theme this game. But man Friendships would be amazing considering how good the game looks already.

After those quick Kung-Lao one-inch-punches, has anyone else remembered the old "Bestiality" finishes?
I wish they would bring those back, with the extra gore and anatomy tweaks ofc...

Mortal Kombat II was darker than the first, and it was the one that introduced Friendships.
I checked the video and I'm unsure about Kung Lao's punching. We see parts of his xray move and fatality and it doesn't seems like a part of those. Maybe they showed a second fatality?

That's true. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. My hopes are high for Brutalities, and I hope they involve the long and complicated button sequences like the older games. Felt so accomplished when I nailed them.
Fuck you Netherrealms, I ain't pre-ordering SHIT.

I, for one, am glad that we no longer have to see Sub-Zero's dog fetish in game form.
Mortal Kombat II was darker than the first, and it was the one that introduced Friendships.
By today's standard I don't think Mortal Kombat 2 qualifies as 'dark'. I kind of don't want friendships or banalities, they would've (or did) at least fit in MK9. But this time round the actual tone of the game looks way more serious and less cinematic. I kind of like it, its the first time since Deception a mortal kombat game has looked seriously badass
I got to play this at Aus Pax 2014, the only fighting games I play are Mortal Kombat and I have to say I had a blast playing it. Looked great (even on consoles) and we both had no idea what we were doing but still did some cool shit. I even somehow managed a fatality, which was extremely gory and spectacular.

[sp]Quan Chi owns all their souls so they're basically all like Scorpion now.[/sp]
To everyone wondering about what Kung Lao's crazy punches are, I think it's one of his Throw moves.
Ed Boon said they will reveal the new -ality before the game is released in an old interview.
I'm hoping for a redesigned kind of Brutality for sure.
Also, on the subject of dead characters coming back to life, there is currently a Comic series being produced for the game.
It skips ahead quite a bit, but it dropped references to a "Netherrealm War" which will be shown in the game.
Seeing as Quan Chi had power over their souls, it's very possible for them to be resurrected, ala Scorpion, Sub zero/Noob Saibot.
It's possible Raiden and company managed to resurrect some of the fallen warriors during the war. Raiden IS a god, and has shown he has a number of tricks.
The comics are a cool read so far if anyone has any interest.

Looks like Moloch gets killed in story mode
It might not be moloch. It might be just some random Oni, but it would be rad if he made an appearance.
