It's more of an advertising stunt for their shiny new insulation, but it's still awesome.
It all started with a young girl. The SPARKS, who share their experiments and lifework on Facebook, received a message from this girl in Bahrain called Amna on their fan page. "Snow never falls in Bahrain, so I would like to show my little brother his very first 'snow'." Source

They made a mold out of reinforced styrofoam and shoveled heaps of snow into it - about 70 quarts' worth - packing it tightly to form a rotund snowman. They put the mold in a cardboard box and covered it with Panasonic's U-Vacua insulation, which has a glass core enveloped by a plastic-metal composite foil. the video seemed kind of dull
who uses a mold for a snowman
now Bahrain will send Japan a sandman
Mould? for building a snowman?! what is this blasphemy?! Good god! they tore it to pieces!! monsters!
2:30 IT'S ILLEGAL TO PARK AT A YELLOW LINE SUESUESUE /c
Snow fight in the desert. The world has come to an end.
I'd do his sister.
Wow, that's really nice. What we hate in Denmark they adore down there.
Was a little underwhelming, and I think he turned to ice en route. Cute concept though.
Whats this? It's a U-Vacua box! It's what's keeping the snowman alive! Nice of them and all but wow.
omg Bahrain is involved with something significant for once [editline]21st January 2011[/editline] I never thought we'd ever make it Surprised the snowman made it, the local paper said it got lost: http://gulf-daily-news.com/NewsDetails.aspx?srch=1&storyid=296346
A Panasonic spokesman said they are not sure why there has been a delay and do not know exactly where the snowman is at the moment.

Wow, that's really nice. What we hate in Denmark they adore down there.
Speak for yourself bro.
Speak for yourself bro.
Sorry!
This is why companies don't deserve bailouts, you couldn't of bought them a damn plane ticket to, i don't know, utah?
and then it turned to water
3:50, tragedy strikes and not a single fuck was given
and then it turned to water
such is life in Bahrain
For those complaining about the mold, put a snowman on a boat not compacted and watch it fall apart. It was necessary. Besides, it helped with insulation.
And so begins the lucrative snowman trade industry between Japan and Bahrain.
Snow is overrated.
Snow is overrated.
Not if you haven't seen it before.
Redbull's PR stunts are better :colbert:
That was really nice of them to send a snowman, I guess.

Anyone else hear the kid who said "Lets Eat Him!" My god they are cannibals.
I must admit, this video changed the way I think about people in the Middle East. I now see that most* of them are good people and not terrorists.
Wow. I really hope that guy was kidding. That's just... Wow.
Ive also never seen snow.
