Abandon Train Tunnels and Hieroglyphs at Donner Pass
6 replies, posted
After the short scare at the Witches Well in Mnt. Holly (Check back a few pages or the channel to find it) We are back out, but this time in California. I didn't post this in Urban Exploration because it's not in a very "Urban" area.
Remember the story of the Donner family that got stuck in the mountains and ate each other? Well this is in the same place, in the mountains there are old train tunnels built by Chinese laborers that still stand along with newer additions, but now it is left abandon and slowly crumbling away... Below the cliff are also ancient hieroglyphs from over 2,000 years ago all over the rocks making this a neat area to tool around in. (I wish I got more footage of that) When you walk through the tunnels, some parts are pitch black, other times you hear a rock fall echo through the darkness, very creepy and atmospheric. I am a cheap guy, and had a cheap camera, so don't expect gold cinematography. Enjoy!

Man, I've been past this area before on road trips...I had no idea this stuff was there...
It also looks like a good place for some Metro 2033 cosplay.
I want to know what is behind that door.
what was the music you used? it was really damn eerie
I love places like this. I have an abandoned WWII base nearby but nowhere near as cool (it's very small).

Deus Ex Human Revolution - Michael McCann - Sarif Industries theme
I played the first part backwards, than added some reverb with it slowed down for the second part.
