This is super gay. I literally wouldn't be surprised if they forgave eachother in this super gay ass scene that actually oozes sexual tension without trying
Strawman Fallacy: The Movie!
That was literally the worst thing I've ever seen
I hope this is satire.
Very much like this movie:

"Science supports his existence!" That is one hell of a claim.
Superman and Hercules in the same movie? Never thought I'd see that. Of course there are no gods, you helped Xena kill them
Hercules.... and the dude who played Superman in Lois and Clark. For shame Welp fucking ninjad
Fuck this movie. People think it's funny but this shit is destructive to both Christians and Atheists, and society in general. You know how so many people change their opinion on Gay Marriage after a relative reveals to them they're gay? Some Christians beliefs about gays and atheists are only because they don't know any, so all they have to go on are stereotypes, like the one pushed by this fucking movie. Also are they expecting people to believe a teacher ANYWHERE in America can aggressively push atheism without getting fired? Yeah fucking right. This is the movie version of that bullshit about the atheist professor and the chalk.

Wasn't much of a teaser trailer if it's 2 and half minutes long showing off some key plot elements
Wasn't much of a teaser trailer if it's 2 and half minutes long showing off some key plot elements
The actual trailer is 7 minutes 45 seconds
You know you royally fucked up when you actually are inflammatory to both the group you are dissing AND your own group that's a new level of screwing up.
It's not exactly insulting to Christians. It's destructive to them and their worldview. Christians who go to see this movie are only reinforcing their incorrect ideas of who atheists are. And it's not dissing to Atheists. The message is not one of hate, it's one of misdirected compassion, which is even worse, because it's going to affect the Christians who are actually good people. It's saying "instead of hating atheists, you should feel bad for them and try to get them to find God" instead of accepting them.
I can't wait for Kevin Sorbo to be like "Psych! God is my dad, his name is Zeus" and crush everyone with styrofoam rocks while getting oiled up.
I can't wait for Kevin Sorbo to be like "Psych! God is my dad, his name is Zeus" and crush everyone with styrofoam rocks while getting oiled up.
"satan is my god" and then everyone dies
I don't see why you would see this. Who's it aimed at? Christians are already christian so they don't need to see it. Athiests will just feel patronized. And the acting is terrible. Whats the point.
This is literally the most hodge-podge name dropping mix of philosophers I've ever seen.
an image This is literally the most hodge-podge name dropping mix of philosophers I've ever seen.
religious people need to understand that dawkins isn't actually taken seriously as a philosopher by anyone who isn't a cunt

At 0:35 does the kid really say his name is Josh Whedon.
I guess at the end the Christian concludes his argument by saying "god is not dead cuz he lives in my heart" and the whole class stands up, applauds and converts.
looks like the highest budget gay porno ever! i gotta see this if i lived in the 80s i would hate newsboys but really i have to give them props for staying "alive" lol (even tho they have no original members iirc)
You can already see how this is going to end; the Protagonist is going to discover the Professor used to believe in God, but then some tragedy occurred in his family that caused him to renounce his faith. Seeing that the Professor is merely angry rather than sincere in his beliefs (thus making him redeemable in the eyes of the audience) the Protagonist is going to give a heart-felt monologue about how whatever tragedy that befell the Professor was "all in God's plan for the world." Shocked, he's going to reverse the auto-F he gave the protagonist (the nadir of the movie will be when the Protagonist beats the Professor in the debate, but gets the last laugh by failing him) and become a Born Again Christian. The closing shot will have the Protagonist proudly watching the Professor in the back of his class next semester, with the Professor opening the class with "I need you to fill in on your papers three words; God's not dead." And then it'll cut to black and end with a Christian Rock song sang by the band in the movie.

I've always felt that Christian media suffers quite a bit from going about things backwards - "movies are cool, kids like movies, so we'll make a movie" regardless of their skill and such. Let's look at a good example - Veggietales. That series has been running for about 20 years now, and almost everyone I know (regardless of their beliefs) both know about and enjoy it. Why? Because, first and foremost, it's well-made. Phil Vischer was inspired by some early computer animation, and founded the company in '89, well before the curve. Eventually by '93 they began making simple half-hour videos. They weren't - and will never be - as high-quality as Pixar or Dreamworks, but you can tell that everyone involved is skilled and dedicated to their art. But they also care strongly about the message - rather than just a generic moral (be brave, stand up for what you believe in, share, don't lie, etc.) they also explicitly reference Bible verses and stories. (The Prince of Egypt is another good example of this sort of thing). Compare that to pretty much any other Christian media: Decide to make a movie, grab one C- or D-list actor (Kirk Cameron, Willie Aames, Ben Stein, Daniel Baldwin, etc) to give it a hint of star-power and fill the rest of the cast with well-meaning folks who can't act that well, attempt a bit of crossover appeal with a broad subject (college, marriage, fatherhood, etc), heavily promote it on the Christian circuit, and release it to echo-room approval. Unfortunately, this doesn't really work out in the end. Church groups showing/attending this will likely enjoy/agree with this, but (as this thread has shown) any outsider who is invited/dragged along probably will just ridicule it. There's not enough narrative, emotional, technical, or acting strength to stand alone outside of the message, and so it fails in the end and is doomed to the sale bin at the Family Christian Bookstore.
Looks like a crappy TV movie.
