sand mafia
I was just talking about this with some friends the other day. I live in an area that regularly gets beach nourishment (the term used to described what he talks about in the video) and it's an extremely expensive operation. Also, there is enough sand in the world, he's somewhat wrong about that. It's just that the costs associated with transporting it are the bulk of the costs involved, so it's just cheaper (pro tip: it's still not cheap by any stretch of the imagination) to dredge it in from offshore or get it from nearby if possible. [editline]13th February 2017[/editline] At least for beach nourishment. Not so sure about the construction industry.
