the guy was antagonizing the police and refused to comply.
the guy was antagonizing the police and refused to comply.
if he wants to excersise his rights (sure maybe pointlessly) they are still his rights. this is stupid as fuck. i cant understand how a person like that became a cop, what a strange attitude.
Life is rough when you live on America's wang. So much stupid shit happening there every day.
the guy was antagonizing the police and refused to comply.
Asserting your position is now antagonizing.
"The cop deserves no respect because he was downright criminal. A thug with a badge. A proud member of the Blue Mafia." this video is fucking terrible and I hope the cop gets fired and put in jail but is this part really needed.
Asserting your position is now antagonizing.
Its clear he was being antagonistic. There's zero reason not to role down your window for a cop.
Its clear he was being antagonistic. There's zero reason to role down your window for a cop.
that's why he didn't? also seriously, there are plenty of reasons and he said so in the video. he feared that from all the terrible cops in the area he'd have to deal with another terrible cop so he didn't roll it down completely. there's zero reason for the cop to need the window rolled down completely.
Its clear he was being antagonistic. There's zero reason to role down your window for a cop.
I think you misunderstood. The cop was, the guy in the car was just standing his ground.
Also where was he beaten at? He got a few scratches from being put on the ground. He also apparently started a kickstarter to "help my family recover" What a load of shit
Also where was he beaten at? He got a few scratches from being put on the ground. It's also possible that he was beaten after the video stopped, but i don't think it's probable. [editline]sd[/editline] --wait for all the information to come out before you start forming your opinion, this happens every fucking thread--
I think you misunderstood. The cop was, the guy in the car was just standing his ground.
How was the cop being antagonistic? Asking someone to role down their window is normal. Shit, I got a speeding ticket about an hour ago for going 85 in a 70. I rolled my window down because there was no reason not too [editline]26th August 2014[/editline]
the video is probably a reupload by someone that has a firey hate for cops. Its apparent he is using it as a cash grab.
if you're so paranoid that the cop will shoot you if you roll down your window when he asks you for your license and registration, roll the window down enough to slide the documents through the crack, not sit there like an idiot waving it around saying "HERE'S YOUR PAPERS". also don't refuse an officer when he asks you to step out of your car.

He rolled the window down enough to give the cop the documents, but as you can clearly see they start threatening that they'll arrest him, try to force the window down, but only took the documents AFTER they saw that he kept his composure.
No offense, but go back and read all the posts - you're making no sense.
What are you on? Where did I make no sense?
The guy handed him his license and registration. There was another officer there, I don't see why they had to use such excessive force. In this certain case, I do believe the police are at fault.

They also only used force when he refused to leave the car. [editline]26th August 2014[/editline]

Oopsy daisy, I meant not role down your window. Use context clues coochka
How do you guys even know they used excessive force, when they're pulling him out of the vehicle you don't even see the officers or the guy getting arrested anymore. The most you can get is hearing him ask the officers not to yank him out of the car which isn't going to work because hes refusing a lawful order to present his drivers license and registration and is obstructing justice by doing so. FFS hes entirely responsible for getting yanked out of his car. He got pulled over and refused to roll down his window which would have saved him a trip to jail and any other issues that might come about by this.

I don't get it. If the cops ask you to get out of the car and you don't what do you expect them to do? Just give up, shake their fists in the air, and go back to the station? Get a warrant drawn up on the spot? No, if they ask you to step out and you don't I don't see any reason why they shouldn't yank you out, you're the one trying to be a sovereign-citizen type asshole just being a nuance for the sake of being one. It's a pretty standard thing to ask people who are possibly drunk/high/etc to step out of the vehicle, and it sounds like that's what the officer was suspecting considering he was driving erratically, apparently.
did you guys know a vehicle can still be used as a deadly weapon?
I wonder whether this could have been prevented if he had rolled down his window.

holy shit, i live in st. petersburg. but this seems to be up in the air.
US law enforcement are not here to protect you, nor are they legally obliged to. They're here to enforce the law.
...and the law is made to protect us and our property.
