(CNN) - Carnival Cruise Lines is working to fly all passengers on one of its cruises back to Florida after the ship suffered a generator failure while docked in the Caribbean.
The experience on the Carnival Dream became something of a nightmare for some passengers Wednesday when power went off, some toilets stopped working, and no one was allowed to get off the vessel -- despite the fact that the ship was docked at Philipsburg, St. Maarten, in the eastern Caribbean.
Gj carnival you are awful
That's pretty crazy considering that the Dream is their third newest vessel.

Sounds like the vacation of a lifetime.

Look at what happened last time.
I'm sorry but if you are still booking cruises with Carnival at this point then you have nobody to blame but yourself when you get caught in a mess like this in the future.
If you saw any of the news reports, there were a few people they interviewed that said they loved "the adventure" and would gladly go on another cruise with carnival.
They should honestly sell off a bunch of ships, lay off half their employees (sorry), and just focus on a few extremely high-quality cruises to get their reputation back up.
Carnival should build off of this by planning cruises in the future with no planned return date and a variety of "special events" which will lead to the exciting failure of various systems and require a heroic effort to get them back to their homes as quickly and safely as possible.
this is some shit out of a comedy.
like, 'EL SLEEZO'S DISCOUNT CRUISES! THAT AINT SHIT ON YOUR SHOES, ITS RAW ADVENTURE.'

Hardcore vacationers only, stay home casuals
So basically everyone build a load of shitty cruise ships to keep up with the cruise industry boom.
Hey, at least they're still docked. Don't have to deal with it sloshing everywhere. Not to mention food, support, and repairs should be easier to get.
Interested in the reason for this one though. At this rate Carnival itself is gonna lose power.
Holy shit, this is the same ship, and even the same route me and my family went on a few years ago. That really blows for the people, I had an awesome time when I went. :v:
