this could have been funny if he wasn't just getting close to people and scaring them. an old man dancing like that is funny, an old man kicking at people and shaking isn't

Even if he startles them, it's not exactly like anyone would feel like they're in mortal danger or anything. He looks like a frail old man. I like what the creator says in the comments about proper prank videos being about taking people out of their comfort zones into "hyper-reality" for a short moment, only to be taken back again to have a story to tell at home. He calls out a particular prank channel for the extreme social-experiment style "just a prank bro" videos, saying that pranks need to have creativity and that special story to share with your friends.
Very strange, since the same channel has videos such as "Hysterical guys KISSING random girls", "Pervy Old Man in Hallway PRANK - Hillarious reactions" and "Guy Humps Random Strangers". Hmm.
the victims of this "prank" scream and run, if that's not legitimate fear I don't know what is.

It's more of a jump scare than an actual scare

Are you someone who constantly gets offended by everything?

ban all horror games, scary movies and spooky novels
the victims of this "prank" scream and run, if that's not legitimate fear I don't know what is.
really? cause I'm pretty sure I heard half of them starting to laugh immediately after than initial shock
ban all horror games, scary movies and spooky novels
there's a difference between a spooky novel and a stranger making sudden potentially threatening movements while only a couple of feet from you
really? cause I'm pretty sure I heard half of them starting to laugh immediately after than initial shock
and the other half continued screaming and continued running
Yeah guys this is serious, that old man might have actually hit one of them and broken his own arm or something
0:40 wow
i kind of agree though, this prank would've been much better if he'd been far enough away that they'd actually see him do the dance moves rather than just being startled and looking/running away

It may be because it could be easy to tell that the mask is fake or something like that.

That's even more of a reason

Oh get a grip. It was harmless.

POTENTIALLY THREATENING MOVEMENTS
You're so full of it, man. It's not like he's creeping up behind people with an air-horn.
These people were especially startled because they always saw him coming- doddering along the street as the most harmless thing in sight.
He's just tapping into people's reflexive reactions to sudden movement, of course they're gonna run, or scream, or at least jerk back until they realize it was all an elaborate ruse

HELP HELP IM BEING SPOOKED
the victims of this "prank" scream and run, if that's not legitimate fear I don't know what is.
You are right.
I hereby propose we remove all spooky rides from theme parks, all scare attractions throughout the states and we also ban Horror movies while we are at it.
Because these things scare people.
Gee, grow some balls man. If any, these people have a great story to tell to their friends.
I got in a twitter fight with Robert Hoffman once. I can't remember what about though.
That part where he was surrounded by people and they were freaking the fuck out at how sick his moves were:dance:
They always go nuts when the white boy does something insane.
