Never tell them that you have a camera, let them get slapped with a nasty attempted insurance fraud.
Never tell them that you have a camera, let them get slapped with a nasty attempted insurance fraud.
or just tell them as to not waste the time of both parties. like ppl always say that shit cus its justice porn but who has the time to go to court miss a day of work spend a shitton of time and effort JUST to prove a point.

It's just better to make sure your innocence is undeniable.
If someone does try to pull a scam but you don't have a dashcam, is it worth the bluff?
to clarify, someone struck their car in the parking lot of where they worked, they had access to the security footage and was able to prove their innocence after the other guy had already lied to the police. [editline] 12 19 2017 [/editline] fuck my merge. If you have a dashcam, you want to keep it secret from the other party, at least until they give their statement to authorities/your insurance/their insurance.
This is why dashcams are the greatest invention ever [editline]19th December 2017[/editline] Fuck even just your phone stuck on a mount could save you a bajillion dollarydoos
Fuck even just your phone stuck on a mount could save you a bajillion dollarydoos
illegal unless you have a full license in aus (or atleast in vic)

I'd also like to point out how the guy that gets out of his car has the most douchebag punchable face, and how insanely clearly rehearsed and assholish the guys movements are This guys going to get fucking strangled some day also
Description: "A weird accident caused by an erratic van driver who attempted to blame me for running into the back of him. When I informed him I had a dash cam he changed his story and claimed he was attempting to avoid a dog (there is no dog). I called the police and he jumped in his van and took off without giving me his details. Please note the pre existing damage to the vehicle. If anyone knows this person I'd be keen to pass his details onto the Sandringham Police. FYI my vehicle is just over a week old and has only minor damage to the powder coating on the bullbar." Thanks to Chris
I really like how desperate this guy's gestures are to make you believe that it was your fault

Thanks to Chris
Well the guy's gonna get fucked. Insurance scam or not, at fault or not, withholding contact details when you're involved in an incident involving property damage is an offense in itself. Assuming the van isn't stolen or unregistered police will probably track him down pretty quickly from his plate.
Dash cams are cheap and some insurance provides offer discounts. You can pick a decent cam and sd card for $70 USD on Amazon.
If someone does try to pull a scam but you don't have a dashcam, is it worth the bluff?
I've always wondered this myself. I told myself if this shit ever happened to me I would bluff that I had a dash cam, since half the videos I've seen where this goes down, the offending party just fucks right off. Seems like the best case scenario to avoid any legal trouble if you don't actually have the evidence to back it up.
Never tell them that you have a camera, let them get slapped with a nasty attempted insurance fraud.
You're aware that telling them they're on camera doesn't render their crime un-punishable, right?
Dash cams are cheap and some insurance provides offer discounts. You can pick a decent cam and sd card for $70 USD on Amazon.
I'm expecting the price difference between dashcam and no dashcam insurance excesses to get really large in the next few years.
