I have absolutely no idea what to expect for this album, especially after the whole 'i vs The Blacker The Berry' situation for To Pimp A Butterfly

Yeah, he seems to change it up a bit every album. This is waaaay different from To Pimp a Butterfly and Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. One thing I love about Kendrick, he doesn't seem to stick with one style.

That's part of what makes him so great IMO. I don't understand how anyone could listen to both of those albums and expect this new stuff to sound anything like his previous work.
yeah whenever new kendrick comes out i never expect what i hear but i always love it. this is so gooood.
im sure there was a lot of grinding involved with that previous style tho so hes probably sick of it by now and wants to do something else for a bit

I think it's called the tiny planet effect
I was really skeptical of the song at first but I'm enjoying it quite a lot now, I can see it going off great at parties. And the bars are fucking great as usual.
And the video man, probably the best I've seen in years

If this is the first YouTube heard of Kendrick then you NEED to listen to his discography. Arguably 2 of the best 5 albums of the last 5 years in hip-hop have been concept albums by Kendrick: Good Kid Maad City and To Pimp a Butterfly. And his first "album", Section.80, is phenomenal as well. I'd recommend checking out his work in order so you can see his growth and development, because it's been amazing to watch as someone who's listened to them as they've came out. He's an incredibly talented artist, one of the best of the decade IMO.
