Someone will inevitably post his inability to crouch-jump in Black Mesa, but basically he's a Youtuber who plays video games. And he bitches and moans about everything he can think of, claiming a game is broken or unfair despite even the fairly obvious being dangled infront of his face. And he gets a shitton of views for it.
I don't think phil knows that when the red icon appears over your head you can't attempt a combo break for three seconds.
He's worse than me at Persona 4 Arena, and that's saying something.

I would go so far as to say he's one of the worst people I've ever seen play vidya. I mean yeah there's people that are even more unskilled than him, but he's such a poor sport and gets so mad while playing it's not even funny.

i think DSP is pretty unique among Lets Players in that most of his fanbase is like an anti-fanbase, where they only watch him (through other channels ofc) because they know he's a legitimately bad person and they want to see how much of a cunt he's being. it's like, he's somehow built this whole thing solely out of being an inhumanly shitty person - even PewDiePie knows very well how to market his image, but DSP fucks up literally everything he can, and still comes out largely on top.
it's not even like when a bad thing circles around and becomes good because of its badness - he's just an all-round shitty, unpleasant, and unlikable person, and i think it's very interesting how he's still somehow got a fanbase (both a regular one and a weird antipathetic one) in spite of all that, just through sheer blind luck and his own immensely shitty personality.

Then the guy proceeded to kick DSP's ass with a double perfect. DSP then started complaining the game was broken, my favorite being "I didn't press anything and I got hit."

Also some backstory or Phil's side of the video. Phil constantly treats his opponents like shit but when someone else does that to him he instantly mutes them and stops fighting. He mutes this guy very quickly so he doesn't hear much of him. DSP was also doing some marathon/whatever and this fight didn't count.

A tiny percentage of those people actually like him, most people just love watching him fail at games and get angry.

Oh he's that guy? I thought crouch jumping was just instinctively in all our minds at this point. If you can't make the jump, you try again with the crouch button. That's with every game I play

I like watching his co-op playthroughs with his friend since its much less moaning about the game, I recall his playthrough of SMB3 with him and his friend being pretty good since they knew what they were doing most of the time.
