I want to see shacktac do some large scale stuff in planetside 2.
I want to see shacktac do some large scale stuff in planetside 2.
not shacktac or particularly "large-scale" but beagle's put out some great planetside content http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXHZpBWttLA&list=PLXctaw5JGF4IkHYQaTApptxN22CLnIkSv&feature=plcp

i sent a question to kilroys askblog about it a while ago and he seemed pretty adamant that shacktac was arma only
This stuff to me seems more fun than the modern shacktac, is that just me?
This stuff to me seems more fun than the modern shacktac, is that just me?
It's because of the low-tech action of WW2, no fancy guided missiles and tactical scopes, only raw manpower and weight of fire.
It's because of the low-tech action of WW2, no fancy guided missiles and tactical scopes, only raw manpower and weight of fire.
but shacktac heavily limits tacticool sights and i don't think they use guided missiles either
It's because of the low-tech action of WW2, no fancy guided missiles and tactical scopes, only raw manpower and weight of fire.
What I saw from the ShackTac vids is that they often avoid the high-tech stuff in their missions, or at least limit them to just a few units so they have to be strategically used.
but shacktac heavily limits tacticool sights and i don't think they use guided missiles either
Well, slower pace of combat, limited automatic weapons etc. Generally harder to take objectives now. Pity that the Arma2 engine doesn't have the same fancy features of deforming the terrain so that effective trenches and foxholes would be possible.

It's fun to actually be able to move around without instantly dieing most of the time, unless someone gets a lucky shot.
