Even taking into account the fact that his older videos were targeted at younger audiences and didn't resonate with me personally, this sort of satirical humor just feels like it fits him a lot better. It doesn't seem like he's trying to force it anymore, he's just genuinely enjoying himself, and that gets rid of the awkwardness you could feel in his older content.
And the fact that he himself has matured past his rape jokes and shit and recognizes that his older content had a lot of issues certainly helps.

Last time he walked away to play pokemon go like halfway into the video, talking about a dude literally just walking away from the screen to go to the bathroom while leaving the camera running for however long during his own video, conveniently capping out at 10 minutes

lmao, I never said he couldn't support his fans or anything I just find the way he does it bugs me for some reason. "It's a tradition" isn't really a decent point, but honestly I wasn't saying he can't do it, just that it bugs me. It bugged me way back when he first started. Maybe it's just a stigma from when I worked along side several frat members and they just used the word bro so much it just killed the word for me.
If I was PewDiePie, I would specifically pad out the video to be exactly 9:59, just to be a complete troll and to highlight that it does nothing for the audience.
