Very good down to earth video on what you should do regarding the switch
I hadn't heard about Disgaea on the Switch, that's a first. Was that mentioned anywhere before this event? I must have missed it if they did.
Nice to see that they had Sonic Mania at the event, I wasn't expecting a demo of it even though they already announced it.

Yeah they announced the complete edition in the last event
At first I was hesitant on getting a Switch due to the launch titles (Only Bomberman and LoZ I really want), but with all the stuff coming that year (Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8, Disgaea 5, Ultra Street Fighter 2, Mario Odyssey, Sonic Mania, and Xenoblade 2) is really enough to justify getting the system launch day for me.
I work and go to school, so LoZ and Bomberman (Disgaea 5 later that Spring) will hold me over fine until Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 2.
Ugh I'm so conflicted. The system and upcoming games sound awesome, but the new online network sounds atrocious.
Xbox LIVE and PSN at least offer some games every month and stuff to make them feel like a service you'd pay for. Sounds like Nintendo's is basically gonna be a paywall for online play as opposed to an actual service.
I'm either gonna get this for the summer holidays, or wait until people start selling them second hand for a $50-100 discount.
Has he not uploaded the Reggie interview yet? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I'll wait till next Christmas. Maybe they'll have a pack that includes a game.
I'll probably wait till summer when Splatoon 2 comes out. With any luck they'll have a bundle with that when it comes out. I do plan on getting MK and Zelda at some point but Splatoon 2 is first priority.
I'm getting it launch day and agree with him wholeheartedly. Don't buy it launch day if Zelda isn't enough for you. And don't worry about getting it down the line, Nintendo's probably already producing more (albiet it takes 4-5 months to create, pass inspection, send to america, etc.) so you'll get it come late summer and through the holidays if you miss your chance the first time around. Once greats like MK8 or Splatoon 2 are out, the console will be more worthwhile and I'd argue it'd be a must buy at that point.

Nintendo has to approve it to make sure Reggie didn't say anything he wasn't suppose to.
I'm glad Nintendo hasn't gone with a glossy finish for the controller bits. I can't stand when electronics come with that high gloss finish, it does nothing but attract dust, fingerprints, and scratches.
That's why I put a Hori branded case on my new 3DS and my Wii-U gamepad. I also bought a skin for the Wii-U itself.
Jesus, the comment section. Nothing but cancerous, copy-paste bait shit.

Yep. I think I'm getting it on launch because I really want Zelda and haven't owned a nintendo console since the Wii, so no Wii U option for me.

I'm going for launch and also agree. I'm not necessarily getting it for the launch title (Although I am excited for Zelda), it's for two reasons for me. First being, knowing Nintendo, the stock situation is going to be awful, I fear that if I dont go for launch I wont be able to for months and months (See: Amiibo, NES Mini).
Second being I travel long distance a lot lately, I often miss having my desktop to play games on, having a full console I can easily take with me and use on a plane or just plugged in wherever I'm staying sounds absolutely perfect to me, especially finally being region free (Or less restricted? The way they've worded it is a bit ambiguous). My 3DS has been perfect in this regard and I'll probably still travel with it too, but this seems even more ideal.
I'm getting it because I know what I'm getting into when it comes to games, and those seem to be enough for me. I know that there's probably going to be some games down the line, and I'd rather put down my money now and have the system when there's a game that I want down the line.
I'm getting a switch eventually so might as well do it now and not buy it twice
