I realize this may be an old video but in reality, not many have actually seen it. "We're trying to stop them from looting and they don't understand so we'll crush their car... United States Army Tankers Rule!!!!" (Scene ends at 1:06) Basically an Iraqi family was caught steeling wood. The soldiers seemed to have forgotten their goal there, and decided to destroy the car. Cars are scarce in Iraq. The man was a taxi driver and said that the car was his livelihood. His only source of income, shattered. A pretty saddening video actually.
and this is why people call us americans 'retards' (and for once, i actually agree with that.) but these are more of the redneck americans who have several generations of inbreeding before realizing there's something wrong
fucking dumb piece of shit faggots, thats so fucking mean.
That was way over the top. Shooting it, then driving it over two times with a tank. Pretty pointless.
yeah, these are just bored-as-hell dicks that you can find anywhere else in the world(chavs, Australian govt, etc.)
That's what happens when you send retards to Iraq.
I won't make any judgment with a biased video like that. "Here's a video with a probably completely different situation and oh have some sad music and war pics at the end."
I found an alternate link, you are able to hear what the narrator is saying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJC1unnuwds

This will only make these people, and others, hate the US. So these soldiers are creating a stronger opposing force. Besides that those ignorant douche bags aren't only causing their own troops to die with this kind of behaviour but also those of all the other countries in Iraq, including the Dutch(my country). Who have a much kinder and more alliance like approach.

Over here it's starting already. We had a soft bunch of Christians in parliament that did every thing the US wanted them to do, now parliament fell and elections are coming up.

The soldiers are still sporting DCU, meaning this was around the time of the initial invasion.
Looting is punishable by death in Iraq. They are lucky they where not shot.
No it isn't. Not even Saudi punishes by death.
You guys saying "these are retarded marines/army" You are fucking idiots. Just like said above, these guys are lucky they didn't get shot by the terries. Stealing among other things over there is highly punishable, as seen. They want to enforce a place where shit like this doesn't happen, and to which point, somewhat they have succeeded.
iraq and the middle east is a shithole brb stone age
I'd say for them being thieves they got off pretty easy, they lost a vehicle, not there life.
Why are there so many fucking people who spell soldiers wrong. its soldiers, not soliders, not soilders....
Wow, provide sources where it says its punishable by death to loot in Iraq, or don't post that at all.
Why are there so many fucking people who spell soldiers wrong. its soldiers, not soliders, not soilders....
not everyone can spell. [editline]03:12PM[/editline] also why crushed car for stealing WOOD? i mean i could understand if they stole other people's belongings, but WOOD? jeez
not everyone can spell. [editline]03:12PM[/editline] also why crushed car for stealing WOOD? i mean i could understand if they stole other people's belongings, but WOOD? jeez
Wood is actually very valuable in some areas, Just because you don't really need it in your life doesn't mean that others don't.
Well, this is why everyone hates USA, because they act like douchebags towards other people(not all of them though, and i'm talking war here). You never hear about other countries doing stuff like this down in the middle-east. As I said, I doubt all Americans are like this. Hey, i've even been told by several people I know that Brits are almost as bad. But if the soldiers down there didn't act like assholes, people would be slightly more positive to the war.
I have no idea why you are a respected user but what you said was the dumbest thing I heard.
That's why I hate arguing with people that are easily convinced by this type of video. You don't know what the usual procedure for stealing stuff is or if the soldiers need to show everyone that they have to stop looting but yeah, just go and flame me instead of making a point. Edit because it's not worth a new post: Just because I don't quote it it doesn't mean I'm not replying to it. In fact I did reply to it because you never did say anything about the conditions, which the video don't really clear up either.

You quoted what I thought about your statement only, not the part where I made a point and proved what actually happened in the video. I realize you really like USA, but if facts refuse to change your mind and acknowledge that inevitable ''fuck-ups'' happen in the army, then you have a really stubborn mind. This is why I hate arguing with people like you. [editline]04:32PM[/editline] Full post below since you seem incapable of quoting my point. ---------------------- I have no idea why you are a respected user but what you said was the dumbest thing I heard. Even on PBS's website, unless you think PBS is some sort of fake news agency.
The conditions were cleared up, in the video itself. Even on PBS's website, unless you think PBS is some sort of fake news agency.
I'm talking about the background. That the US soldiers were trying to stop people from looting at the time, how harsh stealing is punished, how much "just planks of wood" (I know you didn't say just but the fact that you included "for stealing planks of wood" in the title implies the "just") are worth etc. It's impossible to pass judgment with a video which tries to tell you "US soldiers are bad people" by using sad, sad music or a report which is obviously against them, too.

Anyways, I wasn't implying that the US Army is full of bad people, which is why I included "two soldiers" in the title. I meant to post in the OP that these soldiers not only made them self look bad but they* brought shame to the people there who are actually doing a good job.
