Red Hood's design is fantastic.
Oh god that looks and sounds good! And given the director is the same guy that made the Jojo OPs, I'm getting pretty hyped And that laugh at the end was just perfect
The director of Kill la Kill? Jesus christ this is gonna be GOOD
There's something about this 3D animation that makes it feel very different from the other 3D anime I've seen and I'm not completely sure what it is. It kinda feels like they didn't use traditional 3D animation techniques but instead used traditional 2D sketches (at least keyframes) as a basis for posing the 3D models. There's just something about the camera, cuts and character movement just ~feels~ like traditional animation to me.

"Battouman" lol I really thought he was about to call him "Battousai," like here we go with that reverse blade sword
Not gonna get my hopes up, 3D anime usualy looks like shi-
From the director of Kill la Kill and the animation director of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OPs.
I take it back
I find it funny that Japan gives more shits about the BatFamily than most western DC animators.
They'd hae to fuck up immensely to make this bad. Also it looks more like Samurai than ninja, just sayin
I find it funny that Japan gives more shits about the BatFamily than most western DC animators.
Do we have any western DC animators to begin with? Writers, storyboards, design, and general production are one thing, but DC animation itself has always been outsourced due to cost. I'm sure that western animators would be more than happy to make something if you gave them the time and money for it.
I suspected when I saw the Joker's hair that the Afro Samurai character designer was involved somehow
hiroyuki imaishi (the director of KLK) is not directing this project. you're getting him confused with nakashima, who wrote KLK and gurren lagann and is writing this.
They'd hae to fuck up immensely to make this bad. Also it looks more like Samurai than ninja, just sayin
I think Ninja fits, given how Batman's more ninja than samurai.
I could get used to Bruce-sama. As soon as I read "Afro Samurai", I was already hooked. Gief EU release plox.

Haha, this looks so cool! I'm loving this Joker design. Here's to hoping they make him true to the source material and not just a resourceful mob boss-type evil villain with colorful henchmen and a penchant for bad jokes
All of these designs are pretty cool. I actually wanna see what other characters may look like in this style. Heck I wouldn't even mind if Kite Man somehow got an appearance.
I'm already wanting to see the rest of the DC universe in this setting. I would have preferred it if it was drawn animation rather than this 3D animation. Still, it looks worth checking out.
I'm curious how the plot to this plays out. It looks like modern-day Bats gets sent back to the past to Feudal Japan? Or he gets sent to an alternate universe?
Red Hood's design is fantastic.
Apparently its based on a real thing, something about shogunate assassins.

I do think the 3D looks kind of bad, but it still looks fucking awesome.

[del]Where was red hood, are guys talking about that guy with the quad barrel gun? That looked more like Deathstroke to me since one of his eyes was covered and he was wearing a two-toned mask.[/del] Nevermind I found him. Derp.

This is so stupid that it turns around and becomes brilliant. I love it.
The director of Kill la Kill? Jesus christ this is gonna be GOOD
There are no triangular ears or panties in this movie. I'll be honest the 3d looks like shit. I like the stills, I really wanted to like it because the styling was so good, but as soon as the 3d started moving my erection was killed. The environments in 3d are nice but the characters... It just looks off
