https://gop.com/the-highly-anticipated-2017-fake-news-awards/
1) The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover. 2) ABC News' Brian Ross CHOKES and sends markets in a downward spiral with false report. 3) CNN FALSELY reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks. 4) TIME FALSELY reported that President Trump removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office. 5) Washington Post FALSELY reported the President’s massive sold-out rally in Pensacola, Florida was empty. Dishonest reporter showed picture of empty arena HOURS before crowd started pouring in. 6) CNN FALSELY edited a video to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding. 7) CNN FALSELY reported about Anthony Scaramucci’s meeting with a Russian, but retracted it due to a “significant breakdown in process.” 8) Newsweek FALSELY reported that Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda did not shake President Trump’s hand. 9) CNN FALSELY reported that former FBI Director James Comey would dispute President Trump’s claim that he was told he is not under investigation. 10) The New York Times FALSELY claimed on the front page that the Trump administration had hidden a climate report. 11) And last, but not least: "RUSSIA COLLUSION!" Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people. THERE IS NO COLLUSION!
The President of the United States spent weeks preparing this. There are ample articles covering this, but this is the primary source of all of them, so I figured I'd just cut out the middle men.
I see he likes to use CAPS LOCK to put EMPHASIS on certain WORDS, moreso than he does on tweets at least. I'd like to see an official written address like this tbh
Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people. THERE IS NO COLLUSION!
well shit, with all caps like that, how could I not be convinced?
:snip: merge
https://gop.com/the-highly-anticipated-2017-fake-news-awards/ The President of the United States spent weeks preparing this. There are ample articles covering this, but this is the primary source of all of them, so I figured I'd just cut out the middle men.
This is more embarrassing than what I would have written if I was assigned to write this as a middle schooler. "Reality TV star complains about Nobel Prize-winning economist's opinion about economics. More at 11." EDIT: Actually, no more at 11. I think we've wasted enough brain power as it is.
well shit, with all caps like that, how could I not be convinced?
Donald Trump is the greatest hoax perpetrated on American people.
We would make a list but basically every WH statement could be considered purgery under oath...
The President of the United States spent weeks preparing this.
the best part is the website 404'd right after he tweeted it out
What a stupid fucking baby.
Just embarrassing
Could you at least kill the integrity and trust of the free press with dignity, Donald?
Is this what hes doing with his time? Stewing about things he himself says are "fake" and therefore should be ignored by someone with better things to do with their time like, oh I don't know, being the president?
EDIT: Actually, no more at 11.
Is that what Pence told Trump as he was making his list?
Decades from now there will still be thousands of people who think this guy is the best president the USA has ever had. And that makes me want to take the Tide pod challenge.
That's the good thing about opinions, you can always make sure to parse the bad ones and the ones that are completely disconnected from reality. It's just like it is with the flat earth nuts and 9/11 conspiracy theorists: in the end they're the only ones living a lie.
THERE IS NO COLLUSION!
now i kno
Is this what hes doing with his time? Stewing about things he himself says are "fake" and therefore should be ignored by someone with better things to do with their time like, oh I don't know, being the president?
Based on his schedule that got leaked a couple weeks ago, he doesn't really do anything but go to work at 11am, have a meeting or two, and then watch tv for the rest of the day. He's barely doing anything as the president as it is, but some how he's managing to mismanage his time even more.
I'm glad he used his daily 5 minutes of presidential time to type this out
This is just embarrassing.
1) The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover.
... heroic landslide? Even if he ignore the popular vote, he quite literally just barely clinched a couple of states to win.
Decades from now there will still be thousands of people who think this guy is the best president the USA has ever had. And that makes me want to take the Tide pod challenge.
It wouldn't surprise me if it ended up going that way considering that there's people who still think that Ronald Reagan was the best president ever.
4) TIME FALSELY reported that President Trump removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.
This wasn't published by Time magazine but it was mentioned on someones Twitter who corrected himself a couple hours later. Fake news awards that are literally fake news, this must be the 4D chess I've heard so much about.

Fake news awards that are literally fake news, this must be the 4D chess I've heard so much about.
More specifically, Zeke J. Miller of Time Magazine. So this is really only true if you consider his tweets to be official statements by TIME Magazine. That seems familiar somehow, personal tweets being used as official statements that are representative of a larger group.
there is no word for this other than embarrassing. Jokes are supposed to have punchlines and this just makes me feel shame.
trump fails to deliver once again, what a sad disappointment this was.
Is the White House buzzfeed now?
Can someone go through these and determine which entries are actually "fake news" and which aren't? I'm unfamiliar with these stories and would genuinely like to know exactly why this is "embarrassing" (other than all the obvious reasons).
People normally overuse "cringe", but this is genuinely cringe-worthy. Like, I can get Trump acting like this, but I at least figured that the GOP would be adult enough to not humor this being hosted on their website.
I was under the impression that after all, there actually has been a disappointing amount of bad journalism lately... And yet he includes misleading, insignificant, or wrong bullshit in his own top 10 fake news awards? What a moron. Wonder why shithole countries isn't on the list?
