He's about a week late with this one
I just finished making my second one and this came out as soon as I added the stain what the fuck
He's about a week late with this one
I mean his thing is mostly about how they're not that bad. It's more of a reaction to the reaction to Fidget Spinners.
OP forgot the Question Mark in the title.
The funny thing is, Fidget Spinners don't help with ADHD, they only provide entertainment.
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
My little cousin has like 4 variations of these. I also saw a package on the ground while i was walking with my dog. Germany already caught up with the trends it seems.
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
I haven't seen any but I saw a $2 shop the other day with a bunch of empty packets for "Finger Fidgets" :v:

They gained good marketing PR and awareness for their product by being "mental illness positive," and then it just became a success, and completely obliterated the cube's presence.
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
My mom got one as a gift for her b-day today.
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
Already seen stores promoting that they sell them here and have seen kids and teens with them.
I'm not convinced these things are new. They just feel like something renamed a fidget product to make them hip.
went to mcm london comic con yesterday and jesus, so many fidget spinners. everywhere. everything from your standard aliexpress Chinese sweatshop garbage generic ones to £70+ shuriken ones, they were absolutely everywhere. really can't wait until this trend is dead and buried.
The funny thing is, Fidget Spinners don't help with ADHD, they only provide entertainment.
Speak for yourself, it worked wonders for me. Mine broke though, I think water got into the bearings and it rusted completely. I never did ~sick spins~tho, just slow twirling between my fingers, like you would a pencil.
Oh give it a rest you cynical ass, they're completely harmless.
i'm not gonna argue that i'm being cynical but honestly, while they might be completely harmless they're incredibly frustrating to be around when people are using them. they're loud. idk if it's a specific issue with the cheaper, more chinese types but the grinding, spinning sound they make gives me a fucking headache, they often clatter around when people try and do Epic Tricks and drop them, it's generally an obnoxious experience to be around. obviously if they're helpful for people with adhd and such (which apparently is unproven) then they're really great toys to help with that, but at the moment my experience with people using spinners has been obnoxious 15 ~ 19 year old tryhards trying to look trendy, the exact type of people that were going around on those hoverboards 2 years ago
I dunno about you guys but I love trends like these because it's easy to capitalize off of them. I made some virtual spinners for Second Life 4 days ago and I've sold more than 80 at this point. I've carved two out of wood and people are asking me if I'm selling them. Take advantage of the craze
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
They are big here. About 30-40 ish people at work play with them while waiting between calls.
I haven't seen anyone use a fidget spinner yet.
I saw one at one of the chinese owned stores around here, didn't know what the hell it was. I spun it, it was kind of amusing, but that was it. Still, I don't get the hate for it. It seems more like the kind of thing people hate because its popular. Sure its kind of fun to hate it, to be completely honest, especially saying its part of the edgy teen starter kit along with the fedora and vape pen, but... It's just a silly novelty toy. That being said, I don't get how people are making it out to be amazing, with the "5 impossible tricks with fidget spinner!" kinds of videos. That then, makes it sound like the fingerboarding of this generation, which, while also a novelty toy, is kind of lame.
Have you made any money off of them? I made about 2000 Lindens off of the spinners but all this traffic to my store brings exposure to my actual furniture
These types of trends have been around forever. They're for kids. Anyone remember Pogs? Literally pieces of cardboard. How do you think older people felt about having to spend money on those for their kids? Stop whining, you old gits.
I think spinners are neat when you're loading something, commercial breaks, stuck in traffic (as a passenger) etc.
They're weirdly fascinating. At first, before I degreased the center bearing, I was like "this spins for 5 seconds what's the big deal" But after degreasing they're really fun to just kind of mess around with. Especially considering they act like gyroscopes when you spin them fast enough
These are basically the Yo-Yos of yesteryear. Nothing to raise your nose at.
These are basically the Yo-Yos of yesteryear. Nothing to raise your nose at.
Yo-yos were a lot more dangerous honestly, especially around amateurs like me :v:
Yo-yos were a lot more dangerous honestly, especially around amateurs like me :v:
I mean, I took my spinner and blew compressed air onto it until the center bearing got too hot to touch :v: Anything can be dangerous if you try hard enough
Yo-yos were a lot more dangerous honestly, especially around amateurs like me :v:
yo-yos had nothing on the danger potential of these things [t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/uOeHm9SCcQE/hqdefault.jpg[/t] Three hard, heavy plastic balls on a cord that you wave around. What could go wrong!
These are basically the Yo-Yos of yesteryear. Nothing to raise your nose at.
I love yoyos and I still play with them a whole lot, I get the angle of this but you can do a whole bunch of things with those other than spin and watch, it actually takes skill to do cool stuff with it. It's still around as a super niche quirky hobby. I've unintentionally gotten quite a few people into them, it's a pretty fun little thing to learn. It's funny though because all the yoyo stores I know are now selling these things too to cash in since they use the same kind of bearing to spin for a long time so it's easy for those companies to manufacture them. [editline]28th May 2017[/editline] Also if someone gets mad over people liking something as harmless and innocuous as spinners or fidget toys then they don't really have their priorities straight
Honestly never understood what the big fuss is all about with this fidget spinners. They're super fucking cheap on the internet and looks like some thing you would fuck around with in your room when you're bored, like throwing a ball against your wall.
