I must have been cool to work with Nintendo and I can see why they did it but it felt like such a sell-out ad they way they kept sucking Nintendo's dick like they're reading from a script the marketing guys wrote for them.
Compared to like, Kutaragi's Way which was a typical funny, over the top parody. This one felt watered down and kind of cringy. Like they were planning on airing it to children, which I guess they are in a way.
Huh, didn't think Nintendo would be the sort to get Mega64 to do something for them.
The vid was fun but I would have liked to see more substance in the way of teasers. Like, we know Ninty's gonna be at E3 and they're planning on dropping bombs there. They've said as much themselves.
I dunno. Maybe I'm just a whiny baby.
This is amazing! I wish I could make videos with reggie...
That was pretty interesting.
Well I just hope they announce Zelda U already.
That waz great.

They confirmed that they are. They were actually going to show it off last year at E3 but held off for some reason.
You know what that could mean, though? Last year they were ready to show it off and they decided not to, and it's been a year since then. That means the game's had a year's worth of work since they were ready to start showing it off.
I'm hoping at E3 they'll drop the trailer for Zelda and then announce something batshit like "coming out... NEXT WEEK" or something.
Or at least release for next christmas! Then I would buy a Wii U for sure. Smash Bros, Zelda, and I can finally play Wonderful 101 and Mario 3D Land!
Well, I'm game for that. June can't come fast enough. (only real reason I'm interested in E3 nowadays, tbbh)
the 'ui' for the reggie-bot is straight out of eva
fucking rocco
This E3 is kinda exciting at least for Nintendo, Last E3 we knew that a new Mario and Mario kart game were going to be announce the only thing I did not see coming was Tropical freeze. This E3 the only thing we know that is going to be shown is smash bros, everything else is up in the air.
I thought this was a really good form of marketing. You don't get too much flexibility when working with some of the main people but mega64 pulled off a genuinely entertaining video talking about upcoming stuff.
Video is great, but I'm annoyed Nintendo didn't learn from their mistakes last year.
- No live press conference at E3, no main media coverage. Struggling consoles need mass media coverage outside of just the gaming press.
- The Nintendo Direct for E3 had massive stream issues globally. I remember switching to a french stream so the video wouldn't cut out.
- No Miyamoto on stage levels of hype, which WiiU owners need. E3 is a hype event to move consoles/copies.
Nintendo is conceding E3 to Microsoft and Sony at this point.
A bit cheesy but still incredibly awesome that Nintendo cooperated with Mega64 to do a announcement video like this even though it really sounded weird on how they announced all the stuff. :v:
Yeah its better then how Ubisoft did their 'lets bring a famous youtube star on board'.
They sounded too "advertise-y" and their actor for Reggie was way off.

uh
it was an advertisement and that was reggie?
This is the first official anything we've got on what Nintendo has planned for E3 so of course it's going to sound "advertise-y".
They sounded too "advertise-y" and their actor for Reggie was way off.
It was uploaded by Nintendo so could this mean it was actually an advertisement?
Nah, I am probably just crazy.
They sounded too "advertise-y" and their actor for Reggie was way off.
That was the point and that was reggie...
I don't give a crap if this is too advertis-y. I love Nintendo and I love Mega64. This is pretty much all I ever wanted.
I wonder, did Nintendo go to mega64 for this idea, or did mega64 go to them?

Also which best buys will this happen at?
Too bad Microsoft and Sony cant drop their little feud to be as outgoing as Nintendo.
I really loved this, and it's pretty cool it happened in the first place.
Nintendo confirmed to have won E3 before it's started
somehow knew rocco would put in the eva timer
It's funny how much hate they get for "selling out", when really it's just having fun like a normal fucking person.
That was awesome.

And it's not like this is the first time they've worked with game companies.
