i think the "hallucinations" in the crypt can be better explained be sensory deprivation, rather than a innate belief in the supernatural
i think the "hallucinations" in the cellar can be better explained be sensory deprivation, rather than a innate belief in the supernatural
yet if they were told to just sit in a cellar without any mention of supernatural i doubt the effects would be as profound as in this
yet if they were told to just sit in a cellar without any mention of supernatural i doubt the effects would be as profound as in this
we'll he didn't test that on the show, so I assume the effects were as profound and it was cut out [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] of course with tiny sample sizes(probably biased) this doesn't really prove anything anyway

Natalie reminded me of the blonde from Extras Left one. Even sounded like her
Derren Brown is utterly fantastic. I like the fact that he's very much straightforward with his shit. Even though he could make a bunch of false claims such as saying he's a medium or possesses supernatural abilities, he instead outright says that the stuff he does is all a trick of the mind or basic psychology. The man is ridiculously good at reading people and subtle cues we all unknowingly make.
If he wanted to, Derren Brown could probably make someone kill themselves. [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] I've always wondered, maybe all of Derren Browns experiments on TV are all part of a bigger experiment, which he'll use to enslave the world.
I watched this the other night on 4oD. Was great, then I noticed one of his previous shows from 2006 called "The Heist" in the related box and watched it. If you just watched this and want more I highly recommend going and watching the heist one too where he makes 4 businessmen and women rob a bank's money transfer guard (just an actor, obviously, but they don't know that) at gunpoint. I love this guys work.
Could anyone else "smell" the peppermint?
