Left-wing is generally an idealistic view. If everybody was left-wing, the world would invariably be a better and more supportive place.
Right-wing is a realistic/selfish view. It's impossible for everybody to be right-wing as it exists solely to demonise those who are less esteemed and commonly relies on scape goats to push political agenda. Right-wing is common among those who:
a) know nothing of politics
b) make a lot of money out of private companies
c) are obscenely rich
d) are racist/bigoted/religious
None of my friends are right-wing. I have never got along with a right-wing person. I find their views are often silly.
