Holy fuck back in middle school this was [B]the[/B] shit. Sadly it died on a cliffhanger but the creator is bringing it back.
This was uploaded a few days ago but hasn't been posted here yet.

For people unfamiliar on what this is: basically it's an admittedly rather mediocre fanfiction about Sonic and Shadow crossing over to Mario's dimention. People don't really care about that though, they more care for the DBZ styled fuck-everything-in-your-face Flash sprite animation fight scenes the series gratuitously peppers into each episode. The series has been dead for well over 5 years now, sadly ending on a cliffhanger halfway through a big fight scene.

Yeah boyee. I had half a mind to post this earlier but I wasn't sure how many would care. Loved this series when I was younger. He actually did animate the resolution to that cliffhanger at least before fully cancelling the series. Long story short, [sp]Luigi's Tanooki Suit let him free himself from the petrifaction and he saves Mario at the last minute.[/sp]

Really insane how Haynes was able to pull some Wachowski-level choreography with just Flash and some GBA sprites - seriously, the battle royale in Ep. 5-6 and the Fire Sonic scene from Ep. 8 were [i]insane[/i] - and now that it's gonna be a YouTube series instead of being rendered in real-time Flash, he says he wants to go all-out with the visual effects this time. I always wondered if anybody tried making anything in the spirit of this series in SFM or something. I know there were a few other Flash series that sprang up in the same style.

Here's the Fire Sonic scene, which is pretty much the final "big" fight before the series was cancelled.

This was some of the best stuff on Newgrounds back in the day. The silliness of the whole fanfiction is more apparent now but the fight scenes are still as great as I remember them.

Oh boy… I remember watching this back in middle school too, Oxievångsskolan. After that I pretty much focused on schoolwork after such action.

Besides, I never even thought it had connections to Dragonball Z in contrast to how Wrath of the Ice God obviously contained segments from Pokémon.
