It disgusts me that this was allowed on the show when it's clear to me that the poor dog will have mobility issues sooner or later because of this crap.
Pure breeding is a fucking cancer and its going to kill our dogs in future generations. Seriously. Rediculous inbreeding and it just perpetuates and exasperates inherit genetic medical conditions to sometimes lethal levels.
What kills me is that dog there, according to the pure-breed guidelines, is perfectly in line with what they say a german shepard is "supposed" to be like. Its sickening and heartbreaking to see what they're voluntarily and intentionally doing to our dogs.

I don't know about those.
But if you pay out the every orifice for a "show dog" of that breed, it's 90% likely to have concerning health issues of some kind by the time its 5 or 6.
Cocker spaniels and other dogs of the spaniel family, when pure bred, are 70% more likely to have life crippling seizures when they mature
due to a skull defect where it doesn't grow to a size large enough to comfortably contain their brain, causing excessive pressure on the brain and... seizures.
Bull dogs have horrid sinus issues and many will suffocate without surgury by the time they mature.
German shepards as you can see will have painful hip problems all throughout their lives
But if any of those dogs aren't born with those defects and are therefore healthy and comfortable, whether by pure-breed lucky dice roll or cross-breeding, then they're considered worthless mutts by dog show standards and you'll get laughed out of the building for even attempting to show them.

In the belgian shepherd circle they rate them based on signs of good health, both physically and mentally and also on their herding instinct and how their teeth are formed, they need to be in a specific scissor pattern to qualify, think that might be because they are also used as military and police dogs. I have never seen any belgian that wasn't extremely bright or fit, they are very good and healthy, but also challenging dogs to handle, especially about raising.

Not to mention the shit with Dalmations in the UK.
Way back in 2009, breeders successfully bred purebred Dalmations with Pointers to create a dog that was visibly completely identical to a normal Dalmation, but without the defective gene in all purebred Dalmations that causes them to have abnormally high levels of uric acid, which in turn leads to gout, kidney stones and bladder stones.
So how did the Kennel Club, British Dalmation Club and a significant amount of dalmation owners and breeders react to this new breed that looked just like a purebred, but without the agonising pain and oftentimes early death that come with it?
They refused to accept it as a 'true' dalmation. It wasn't until 2 years later that the dog was able to be registered with the Kennel Club as an official dalmation - and even then the British Dalmation Club kicked up a massive stink about it, going on about how it was "inappropriate" and "irresponsible" TO BREED A DOG IN A WAY THAT MITIGATES HEALTH ISSUES.
Alot of these pure dog breeders basically just sound like a bunch of closeted Nazi Scientists.
