I don't think too many are interested in singleplayer anymore, its even more annoying if you want to play online on a new computer with a fresh save but you're forced to play for half an hour just so you could actually switch into online.

I played this new mode earlier last night. First round, I won. Slow and steady wins the race? I had the most lives and the timer ran out.
Now we wait for someone to recreate the entirety of Tron:Legacy
It's a fun mode but the best way to win is to drive slow and it just feels [I]wrong[/I].
I like the idea, but the mode pretty much boils down to a game of chicken with a 90 degree twist.
Boy I sure wish I could drive these bikes in multiplayer but they cost 2.2 million.

Sorry but thanks to idiots buying sharkcards in exchange for imaginary money I doubt rockstar will waste time on a SP dlc.
Rockstar made an unexpected and huge amount of profit. Think about it, it costs them nothing to give players gta money and they make MILLIONS from it. Gta online would be amazing if it wasnt a grindfest.
I just hope rdr 2 doesnt go the same way.
I don't really understand why they decided to even make this.
I'd really love to see Rockstar making mafia styled DLC with new missions, gamemodes, etc.
You know, something that would be actually fun to play and something that wouldn't feel like endless
grinding.
But to be honest, I've pretty much lost the hope of getting better missions added for GTA Online.

What's wrong with having a non-canon side game?
People complained that GTAO lacked anything fun to do outside of the grind. They add more fun and [I]totally optional[/I] content and it's suddenly no longer GTA? What.
People were asking for a lowriders update for ages, they made a lowriders update
People were asking for a trackmania style update, they made a trackmania style update
People wanted a bikers update, they made a bikers update
That's only 3 out of the 28 free DLCs available.
I'm not saying that R* are without flaw, they've done some dumb shit, but at least give them credit for still supporting the game with content that the community wants.
It doesn't matter if it's non-cannon or not, I just don't want it to become a gimmick or selling point that the series is associated with.

GTA has never been [I]just about[/I] stealing cars, if you want to do nothing in the game other than commit Grand Theft Auto then go ahead, nobody is stopping you. But people would get bored of that fast, they need to produce more content to keep the online playerbase happy and active, which surprise surprise, is the biggest selling point of the game now.
Also good job on cherrypicking two things that fall in line with your stance but conveniently ignoring all of the other content that has been added.
As for singleplayer DLC, that's pretty much what I meant when I said they've done some dumb shit. They did promise it back in 2014 and there's been no mention of it since, so who the fuck knows whether or not that is happening. Let's remain hopeful though.
They promised it in 2014 and I think last year one of the suits said that all of Rockstar North's staff was working on GTA Online. Apparently they'd rather have people buy money on shark cards than story mode DLC. Pretty bummed really, I'd much rather see a good DLC story like TLAD or TBOGT was to IV over whatever theme-of-the-month stuff GTA Online gets. If it makes them money sure, good for them. But don't let them forget what made Rockstar big in the first place.
At least give us the lowriders in single player, you cocks.
