It really had the same premise so I didn't really feel like they changed much.
He aims at the guy, jumps off the thing, grinds on the thing, kills the dudes, gets the gun thrown at him and kills the big dude.

No shit. What did you expect? The first version we saw was just a cut down version of this one to cram into a 30 second spot.
This minute long version was made first. Why would it be different?

Looks like a hoo from a Dr. Seuss story.
I think the problem is that the studio that they probably contracted to do the CG didn't really know what to do with the artstyle, so it just looks really out-of-place when they try to make it look all detailed and realistic. The trailer itself is actually pretty well-constructed. Not the best they could do, but it gets across the basic parts of the game in quick succession and that's pretty much all you could ask for in a TV Spot.
And while I've generally avoided any official media for the game (I like going into games like this mostly blind), I've still heard that some of the other promotional stuff has been far worse.
