I've came across into an interesting project where people find arranged soundtracks of the current game in mind and then put it into a ROM which can be played through MSU1 chip, which was used by SNES CD.
The Secret of Mana was supposed to be the 1st game to be released on SNES CD.
So far only 3 emulators support MSU1 such as BSNES,Higan and SD2SNES.
