I am going to quote the video description.
Mozilla has decided to stand up to the Department of Homeland Security by refusing to comply with the ICE request to pull their add-on to their Firefox browser that lets users automatically bypass domain seizures.
tl;dr Mozilla supports freedom of speech and information pretty much. Its not really that but I can't help to think this post will convey some sort of secret message.. Planned or not planned. You should check out the addon, its a pretty cool addon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Rate me informative if I benefited you in any way. Also lets keep this thread safe.
Why is the tl;dr the longest part of the post? And not obeying government is what every person should be doing all the time.
Why is the tl;dr the longest part of the post? And not obeying government is what every person should be doing all the time.
Raping children and drunk driving are disobeying the government, all people really need to be doing is protesting all the stupid censorship that's been going around lately.
Cool... although I can't help but think Mozilla is gonna get itself caught up in a shitstorm for this, but it's all in the name of Freedom of speech so... also, link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mafiaafire-redirector/
Why is the tl;dr the longest part of the post? And not obeying government is what every person should be doing all the time.
It was ment for people who didn't want to watch the video.
Why is the tl;dr the longest part of the post? And not obeying government is what every person should be doing all the time.
Either you're stupid or you're a wannabe anarchist. I can't tell.
Either you're stupid or you're a wannabe anarchist. I can't tell.
Well most "wannabe anarchists" are pretty fucking stupid, so hes both
I'm wondering what kind of sites this is used for. I haven't ever seen a blocked or taken down domain.
I'm wondering what kind of sites this is used for. I haven't ever seen a blocked or taken down domain.
Things like places to order marijuana (Yes, they have websites now) or websites that slander against the government. Basically stupid bullshit censorship that shouldn't ever happen.
Either you're stupid or you're a wannabe anarchist. I can't tell.
Governments don't have your best interest in mind. If you think they do, either you're stupid, or part of the problem.
i downloaded the addon just incase it ever does get taken down, it could come in handy even though i dont use firefox here is the addon if anyone wants it https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mafiaafire-redirector/ [editline]2nd June 2011[/editline] aw i didnt notice im late
So far the list that Mafiaa gave me are silly streaming sites. Nothing that is the "suppression of freedom speech."
So far the list that Mafiaa gave me are silly streaming sites. Nothing that is the "suppression of freedom speech."
Just because it doesn't affect you and your freedom of speech directly doesn't mean it isn't a "suppression of freedom of speech". These sites were taken down by the ICE because the many giant entertainment groups lobbied them endlessly to. These are sites, where only information is being shared, are taken down because a huge group of very rich corporations decided that they lose revenue through these websites. They are able to have them taken down because the websites are in the United States and we all know how the rich rule the United States right now. The websites in questions still exist because they have moved their servers out of the United States but their original domains were confiscated. You probably haven't seen it but there are some websites that will have just a picture saying the domain was confiscated by the ICE. People who used to go to these sites, still can because all of them have a new domain. Its just that many people don't know the new domain and thats what this addon is for.

I think the commercial sites scamming/counterfeiting stuff/infringing copyrights/illegally trading being taken down is justified. I don't really see any sites in that list that are noncommercial.
All I thought was "Fuck da Police"
