• Is the Powerpuff reboot any good?

This guy makes some interesting videos. I definitely love his animation style, but his titles are a bit click-baity. I've been wanting to share some of his videos here but I've never really had the chance.
Why do certain reviewers waste a minute of their video with that "haha I'm a grown man/nerd how weird is it for me to review a kids cartoon?" bit. Just dive straight into the review and get on with it.

i still can't get over his bootleg family guy persona
when the hell did hotdiggedydemon get hair, he's been a skinhead since the MLP craze
when the hell did hotdiggedydemon get hair, he's been a skinhead since the MLP craze
He's still bald, he's just characterizing himself as Mitch from PPG. I've been a fan of HotDiggetyDemon since I was teenager, and I love how he's been standing up for his opinions. He made a short series on My Little Pony, which was almost career suicide, because I'm sure he understood the MLP fandom would be a short-lived fad. He is truly a cartoonist I respect, I like seeing his analysis of an intellectual property that he (and I) care for, because those are the things that inspired him to do what he does. No offense but whenever I take one look at Max Gilardi's internet persona, all I see is a guy who somehow got completely lost in the wrong time period of Youtube. Let's just say that he has a lot to learn because of that and his content.
Wikipedia: Self-deprecation is the act of reprimanding oneself by belittling, undervaluing, or disparaging oneself, or being excessively modest. It was funny the first time but he does it in every single episode and it gets stale real quick. When Goofball(the ghost) comes on it's annoying as fuck because it's just going to be several minutes of "haha im such a loser" [editline]17th December 2016[/editline] He should do more bd's with cartoons instead of movies. It'd be interesting to see his perspective on a lot of shows, since most of the other current cartoon review channels aren't actually animators themselves.

It really does suck getting older and watching things you cared about being mistreated (even if you may be the only person that sees it that way). That's why I included the tension release part in bold. Worst case, YouTube is nice in the way you can skip around so easily, right arrow for 5 seconds or L for 10 seconds forward.
I completely agree with him that animated characters are their voices. I can't really explain why though? I don't know, maybe something to do with it being most relatable in a characters presentation? i.e you aren't going to draw a parallel to yourself in the visuals of the PPGs because of the art style
Damn, I forgot how violent this show was.
Maybe if they made MLP that voilent and bloody it would be more digestible to a male audience?
The real question is if in some alternative universe would mlp would still have become that popular if it was edgy like that, I'd bet it would have fallen into obscurity much faster. Just lend the rights to adultswim they can turn anything into gold :v:
I've read somewhere that CN wanted Craig McCracken to make the new show, but he couldn't because he has a contract with Disney atm, so they made it without him and it became this...mess. On the bright side, McCracken's Wander Over Yonder feels like a Hanna Barbera Cartoon and i'd recommend watching it if you want something completely new that'll also make you feel nostalgic (The only problem with this show is that Disney cancelled it and we'll never get s3)
You could never get away with something like the original Powerpuff Girls on a kids channel nowadays.
