Disguised as a tournament between a american team and a european team
Doesn't look too impressive if you ask me.
im liking the new Dust look, and them visuals and i like that they kept the original cast
It's lacking something.. Oh yes! Colors
Eh looks like source with a skin mod. Not liking it. Killing on CS is ridiculous. Not very fun
-God damn double post-
Soooo what exactly was changed? A new high res texture pack?
it looks cool I guess, hopefully it will be good when i get to play it, but the animations still look a bit bad
The P90 looks terrible. I'm liking the different hands model for each team.
oh its a taser
It's lacking something.. Oh yes! Colors
Dust lacks colors? Thanks for the update, Sherlock! But seriously, it's one map. Wait for Aztec or something with a bit more variant in it besides De_Dust.
Valve you can do better than this.
CS:S + MW2?
You people are being so critical. Jesus. Just enjoy it.
I sure can't wait for this CS:S update. :v:
If you went to a football game and complained about how the uniforms and field looked you just get looked at strangely.
Guys this wasn't made by Valve its just some Indonesian rip off company, right? RIGHT?!
If you went to a football game and complained about how the uniforms and field looked you just get looked at strangely.
If I went to a football game that was labelled as 'Football: V2' and I had to pay between 30 to 60 bucks to watch it then yes I'd be disappointed if the only thing that changed were the uniforms and field.
23:21 nice ragdoll haha "Ooh you got me! boop"
Guys this wasn't made by Valve its just some Indonesian rip off company, right? RIGHT?!
Valve and the guys who made defense grid made this game
looks exactly like css but with better graphics.... even the guns sound the same
ITT people who have never really played CS bitch about it.
ITT people who have never really played CS bitch about it.
Pretty sure we've all played CS before.
I mean, actively get into the game and enjoy it. If you already don't like the series why the fuck do you think we care about your opinion and insight on the game? It's like all of the MW bashers. (No I do not like the MW series.) All they do is cry about how bad the game is, repeating the same few points, but don't say you dislike one of their games (Portal, for example, even if you have good reasons) because there will be hell to pay. From someone who's enjoyed the CS Series, Condition Zero included, I'm glad that there's a new counter strike coming out. The game play looks drastically different, the recoil system looks pretty different from the one in CS:S and 1.6. The revamped graphics and animations are always a welcome change, along with the new weapons and Valve supported game modes. I can only imagine the new custom content and maps the community will make for Global Offensive, and I hope that Valve will continue supporting the game as they did with L4D2 and TF2. If no one likes these changes they're welcome to not play or buy Global Offensive and continue playing on 1.6 and CS:S. Everyone's looking at one map, and one game mode, and they're making extremely harsh judgements based on them. It's kind of like when people played the beta of BF3 and didn't realize with a little bit of homework that they were playing on an old build, and bashed the game without knowing that most of the problems in game were already fixed. And hell, they're not even playing the beta, they're just spectating it. You have no idea how the game actually feels and handles yet, so who are you to say. Valve could've just made Global Offensive a graphical update and left it at that, but they went above and beyond the average mile for a new Counterstrike by adding new weapons and making a couple of custom game modes legit ones. It's also a good way for valve to experiment with cross platform games.
Honestly the fact that this looks so similar to source is enough to have it sell just as many copies if not more. Valve is going to make bank off this game. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] No doubt in any way.

[editline]20th October 2011[/editline] No doubt in any way.
Well yeah, it's going to look similar to source because it's on the source engine. Smart assery aside, if you've played CSS long enough to get used to the mechanics it's actually pretty different. It looks like the bullets go in the general direction the crosshair is, while in CSS you'd have to aim at the floor to get a headshot with the P90 if you were spraying really hard. The models and animations are revamped and there's actually new weapons added to the game. I don't understand what would make you guys happy just short of completely changing how everything looks, works, and feels. If they did that, they might as well call it something else besides Counter Strike. If you want realistic tactical gameplay then buy Rainbow Six 3 : Raven Shield. The graphics are dated but gameplay > graphics am I right?
Do they have any new maps?
Do they have any new maps?
http://store.steampowered.com/app/1800/?snr=1_4_4__13 "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.)." oh man that was hard
