This is how it should be done, sadly, the bystanders are still assholes about it.
Now I don't know the full back-story to this but imo the cop handled it professionally
and only the girl made everything so dramatic.
Christ the guy with the camera is a massive tool.
Guy with the camera is a fucking idiot.
"She's only a weak girl, you can't do that"
lmao
The guy filming is a goddamn retard, wow
"You're choking me, I can't breathe"
*continues yelling*
It's like the witch from left for dead.
Is she the voice actor?
stupid fucking bystanders.
if i was there I'd probably be laughing and cheering the cops on. I hate idiot drama queens like that.
First, if he's choking you then how are you able to tell us?
Second, if she's in that much pain from someone holding her leg she must play soccer.

Also for you Canadians out there apparently this happened in Hamilton.
Hamilton police Chief Glenn De Caire said he was "very pleased with the amount of communication from our officers," and how the officers chose to restrain the suspect. He added "this is clearly a display of excellent training."
De Caire said he first saw the video Thursday morning and that the Hamilton police department has received over a thousand calls and emails of support, some from as far as Australia, the U.S. and Europe. He also said that when making arrests, officers aren't required to explain an arrest to anyone other than their supervisors, the person who is being arrested and the court.
daww that sweet.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/news/hamilton-police-arrest-video-goes-viral-1.2461046
Take it from someone that lives in Hamilton, how she acted doesn't surprise me at all.
I don't even know why they bothered to explain anything, they're doing their job just fine and other people are simply uneducated fools.
"You know she's a girl, you know she's weak; that's not resisting". Do people have to try to be this utterly incapable of logical thought?
The dude recording that is an idiot. "She's a girl man".
She broke the fucking law. No exceptions.
I love sidewalk lawyers with smart phones.
Him saying they should let her go...good old Sidewalk Lawyer with his PHD in "Am I being detained" classes of YouTube fame. What an idiot. I would not have given him any time of the day. I would have told him to go pound sand. Seriously.
Cop made a great point in that people only film part of the story and make them look to be the bad guy.
Just because someone is struggling, saying they did nothing wrong, does not make them innocent. These people live in a fantasy world where they think if you fight and say "I did nothing wrong!" you are free to go.
Just about everyone who commits a crime will cry to you that they did nothing wrong. Even with blatant evidence in their possession. I have seen thieves say they have done nothing wrong and resist arrest even when met with the fact they had the items on their person and their theft was caught on video.
I suppose I should have just "Let them go" also because they said they were innocent.
"She's not resisting" Literally stated as she jumps around and flails about trying to get out of the cruiser. That's not resisting?
Oh, please sir. Explain to me in your well verse knowledge of the law what resisting is.
What a tool.
How's a cop supposed to arrest a resisting weak girl? Assuming you can do that at all.
According to the logic of the retarded cameraman, a girl can do whatever the hell she wants even if it breaks the law and the police shouldn't do anything about it simply because she's a girl.
"its all excuses and lies"
Jesus fuck shut uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupp
All of em, christ, cop can't even get a word in edgewise.
I'm sorry but I don't care who you are but if you break the law and get caught, you shouldn't expect to be able to try and escape or resist and not get laid out. Not how it works.
Dumb bitch.

Hearing that cameraman was like the real life version of Whiteknighting.
yea and sometimes people are hysterical when they feel cornered. the part of the brain capable of "rational thought" switches off and the fight-or-flight mode is engaged. it's a survival mechanism and it's sorta hard to blame the girl for being hysterical when she had 2 people on top of her trying to restrain her even if she needed to be restrained for w/e reason.

Of course you'd defend her. Only reason she's on the ground is because she resisted in the first place.
Of course you'd defend her. Only reason she's on the ground is because she resisted in the first place.
i'm not really defending her. i'm saying that it's a very natural instinct to resist force against you because your body automatically goes into a survival mode and isn't properly able to put the situation into context. to the "primitive" part of her brain, this is a life or death situation; it overpowers the other parts to try and get her out of that perceived life or death situation.
He wanted to get da pusseh.

Do you actually believe that the situation started with 2 police officers on top of her? Like what, they walked up to her, threw her to the ground and then got on top of her without saying a word? Don't you think that they tackled her only AFTER she started resisting arrest?

yea the situation escalated to the point where resistance was inevitable on her part. i'm not even talking about how justified the force was, only that it's dumb to call her a "stupid bitch" because she is hysterical in a situation that would naturally induce hysteria in many people.

The primitive part of her brain took over when the police officers approached her and told her "you are under arrest, put your hands behind your back" and her body automatically went into a survival mode and made her thing it's a life or death situation?

"so what happens if she broke her arm or if she broke her everything"
good point dude

Have you ever been arrested or are you just stupid?
I've been twice. Only a fucking idiot would try to resist arrest, and "survival" mode is no excuse.

That sounds pretty stupid in this particular case. All I saw was a rich daddys girl who couldn't afford to get arrested, because daddy would take her credit card away.
In other words: Let's make as big of a scene as possible, so that you can look like a victim.
Or something similar.
