Hosting and taking money from white nationalists to let them spread their ideology and hate, that's always a good look.
who are these people
who are these people
morons
I skipped to Sargon trying to explain to everyone else that genetics have nothing to do with political ideologies.
I guess he's pretty pissed about surrounding himself with those people now.
I used to really like and respect Sargon but he's basically gone out of touch.

He actually manages to be the most rational person in the discussion but only because literally everyone else in it is a white nationalist.
Wait so which one's which?
morons
Morons who are making a considerable amount of money.

he orders a drink
I still like Sargon because he's funny, but that may be because I don't know enough about american politics and I really only watch the stuff where he highlights extremists and goes "wow this is very extreme"
What's crazy is just how totally dismissable all of Richard Spencer's arguments are, but Sargon is doing such a bad job of rebutting them.

Sargon is usually quite rational when dealing with scenarios involving identity politics(which is what most of his content centers on). However, in recent months his rhetoric has taken a turn towards that of Ted Kaczynski. He's nowhere near as articulate as him, though. I don't condone Freedom Club or any of its beliefs, but after reading the manifesto it's that same shit all over again only thirty years later.
Tl;dr it doesn't matter which side you're on(if you're foolish enough to choose a side), polarization is bad.

I would describe it as "begrudgingly cordial with occasional outbursts". Most prominent anti-SJWs have gripes about neo-nazism/white nationalism/the alt-right and may even voice them occasionally, but tend to avoid criticizing the ideologies as a whole and the people who practice them. Some say it's for Patreonbux, I think it's because they're obsessed with trying to appear open-minded with poorly constructed debates and whatnot.
That Richard Spencer interview with Sky News (I think?) is all you need to see he's incridbly bad at debating. I don't know how anyone could listen to him complain for 4 hours, he can barely keep his thoughts consistant
[IMG_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DSvSg2_V4AAMXiL.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
This one could be a "by your own logic" type argument. Especially since it would be a bit weird for someone with an Arabic name to be a white supremacist? But maybe I just have too much faith in humanity.
I know full well that guilt-by-association is the most useless classification to take in identifying one's politics, but by this point Sargon has become the virtual poster-child for pushing the limits of what moderation he can front for himself while actively appearing on platforms for more and more radical people. This is a problem I have with almost everyone in the 'game' of debating left-right ideology these days. I'll find someone I agree with more-or-less identifying with someone I radically disagree with, making me question less so the credibility of their beliefs but the instead te conviction of my own.
I watch both Hbomb and Armoured Skeptic, and feel like I agree wholeheartedly with BOTH of them, for example -- but I know deep down that if placed in a room with one another, their arguments couldn't be more different. It's so easy to cherrypick who you I decide to agree with these days, it feels so disingenuous and even stupid when I realize I'm gradually rooting for different sides. You don't HAVE to support anyone -- but it doesn't always feel that way anymore.
The ultimate result is that I feel like an idiot and even somewhat ashamed for ever openly agreeing with anyone. It's rough.
So I MAY listen to this with earbuds at work. I'll post here and share if I actually got through it or not.

He's really good at calling out extremists while on the spot but his actual opinions are a bit out there
Then again anyone can call extremists out, its not hard to understand why they're idiots, its just a matter of articulating their insanity in words.

The internet makes you feel like you need to have, and express, an opinion on everything. Every comment section and every social media website has a text box that literally calls out for you to "Tell us what you're thinking". And we tend to like easy labels, so we decide that we'll call this one thing bad, and this other thing good, but the truth is that there's nothing wrong with being a bit more gradual. There's nothing bad about half-agreeing with someone, or withholding judgement until you've let the arguments sink in. It just feels wrong, because that kind of opinion doesn't easily translate into the kind of comment or post we're now expected to make.

Actually it does matter which side you're on when one side is Nazis and white supremacists. Sargon made his choice and he can get fucked with the rest of them.
so this is where this came from

because he has forfeited some of the best arguments against Spencer's racism by making such right wing commitments.
this is literally how radicalization happens, as you go go down the rabbit hole you begin to lose the vocabulary to resist more dangerous ideologies

You know you're a next level shithead when a dumpster fire of a human like Metokur (the constant embarrassment that was Internet Aristocrat) can actually claim the moral high ground.
Fucking christ.

When it comes to Nazi's, everyone is an ally against them, everyone
The only people that really defend Nazi's are other Nazi's and/or apologists that don't fully understand the problem

I saw this:

and very much expected a "walk into a bar" joke.

tbh knowing Metokur he almost certainly agrees with them and loved that joke but wasn't quite expecting someone to just fucking go for it.
He's a total shambles of a person after all.

Considering how far he'll take not at all talking about the other side of a story I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to pull a 'nazi apologist' remark at some point

Yeah this tweet hardly feels like condemnation, coming from him. It seems pretty obvious he's reposting it because he thinks it's hilarious.
