I've bought this on Steam but can't download it while I'm at home because we have a download cap per month that I will blow right through if I downloaded it.
I'm really liking the looks of it though. The gameplay is sort of what I expected

Download cap? What kind of horrible, abysmal ISP does that?
Almost all of them now

Every single ISP in Australia?
Download cap? What kind of horrible, abysmal ISP does that?
I live in an area which is gonna be an industrial area in the future so they never bothered to update the network access here as the houses around here are gonna get demolished anyway so I have mobile broadband right now.

And some of them go one worse and give you a split cap. For instance, iinet gives me 150gb of downloads from 8am-2am and 150gb from 2am-8am every month. Which is a massive pain in the ass, because not only is a cap sucky in general, but now my internet also shits itself for about half an hour before and after 2am and 8am.
Ain't watching it because I've just got the game and not very far into it - so don't want spoilers.
Although, how was his general impression?
There didn't really seem to be any real spoilers in it, tbh, he didn't do any of the story missions

There were lots of niggles and problems on the whole, although he liked it and hopes the sequel can turn things around and patch up all the problems.

TB always actively avoids spoilers, why wouldn't he for this?
Total Biscuit is absolutely right, the pop-in is more than ridiculous.
I like the game on a technological level, but it's a fucking port through and through.
If I'm honest it looks really meh.
My brother is incredibly hyped and can't wait to buy it on PS3...
The optimization of this game is stupid bad. Like, I can barely keep 25-30 on medium. My machine is semi-dated, but still it shouldn't be a terrible issue when other games really aren't. This really is a port, and a poor one at that. I'd honestly say if you don't have a recommended rig don't even bother.
I really had hoped the game would grip me, and perhaps it still may, but a little ways in and it just feels a bit dull and under cooked. I figured with the extra delay time things would feel a bit more robust, but sadly it really doesn't feel that way. The driving is absolutely abysmal I really can't figure out how Ubi couldn't get it at least somewhat right. I know they haven't worked with driving before, but it seriously feels unfinished in a way. Driving for me is one of the most crucial parts for a game of this scale, and it does quite the opposite of draw me in. The hacking is cool and all, but its honestly nothing new in terms of how you "hack". But, it is a good base to improve upon with a sequel (and we know how Ubi loves sequels). The story is just... meh? I really haven't gotten too engaged just yet I guess. It's interesting but isn't compelling to me. I had decent hopes for this game really, but so far it's falling below average in my book.

150 gb? :v:
I have 30
I guess it must be poor optimization, because I have an average rig and I play at an almost constant 60FPS on high settings, while people with hardware 5x better than me are having issues on medium :v:

Or poor compatibility with different kind of hardware is my guess
Does it still have 90 degree turns for trains?
Does it still have 90 degree turns for trains?
it never had those - that screenshot floating around is a junction where one track joins another perpendicularly

A little dissapointed he didn't talk about Aiden as a character, I heard he's dissapointing
I never checked my framerate, but on Ultra (with High textures) I'm getting what feels like 40-60 FPS on an i5 5670 and GTX 770. Sounds like the game just doesn't scale much beyond that kind of hardware. Dual Titans should be getting 100+ FPS on Ultra if it scaled correctly.

but there aren't 4 tracks. There are 3.

On mobile its pretty common I guess.
But indoors? Unlimited motherfucker!
A little dissapointed he didn't talk about Aiden as a character, I heard he's dissapointing
From what I heard the story in general is just a bland revenge plot, an excuse to get into the world.
Jordi and T-bone were the only characters I liked in the game. Playing as either of them in a sequel would be great.
Clara was by far the worst character in the game though.

In Europe (at least Iceland, Norway etc.) you get a limited download cap from foreign countries, depending on how much you pay.

I'm also disappointed that moral ambiguity was kinda thrown out the window here, personally I was looking at playing Watch Dogs from a more serious tone an less of a Saints Row tone.

Is that on PC...

Yes, I can tell by the polygons.

It's the same idea without an extra side
[t]http://i.imgur.com/dt9ziQE.jpg[/t]
The trains in Watch Dogs dont have that extra side - it looks essentially the same but without the part with all the red, with the part in blue there being a remnant
the trains do not just suddenly flip 90 degrees and turn. they either go straight up and down the road or turn down or out of the left
