Pretty cool lecture/directors commentary on his work. A bit long but worth the watch.

That Morgan Freeman sphere would have been great.
That professor seems really awesome
I love videos like this.
Well butter my biscuit.
:smug:
That's cool, they kinda did what the creator of the Gravity Hull Designator in Garry's Mod did for the animated part of the motel room. :v:
Erik is a comedy genius.
Now I'm curious about that F-Stop thing, they liked it to the point where they kept it for 6 months before returning to using portals, not because it was bad but because, being Portal 2, people expected portals.
Hopefully they'll use it in a new game.

Did he call Gabe "Jabe" or did I misheard it?

Yeah, it's in the developer commentary. They did exactly the same thing.
In fact, I think only upon seeing the Portal 2 dev commentary did the Gravity Hull guy finish his Duke Nukem Forever of a project.
"What is it doing?"
"It is sending your creditcard information to China"

Was he being sarcastic about the loading screen comment? It sounded like he actually meant it...
I wish I could listen to him during class, because I would enjoy it alot more, I just don't have the attention span to listen to that after school's over.
They used Hammer to create the maps? I thought Hammer was more for the public modding community, while Valve themselves would have something more advanced or polished.
I think they use a better version of hammer.
I might be wrong though
Yes, their hammer has these protrusions on the other side to pull nails out easily.

I like how everyone laughs at the portal jokes :v:
I wish someone asked about the bridging of the half life and the portal universes, it was a really interesting choice for them to do that, and I'd like to know more about the thinking behind that.

He's referring to Jay Pinkerton
The fstop thing with Cave Johnson sounds like a good premise for Portal 3
