That's the joke
Oh.
This is an abomination.
The implementation of the Call of Duty effects and weapons is really well done for a DooM mod, I won't lie, and it is fairly entertaining to play BUT it is so unoriginal and the Call of Duty gameplay does not fit Doom at all, period, and therefore the game gets to be overwhelmingly strange when you play it.

the Enemy Territory: Quake Wars mod, however, is totally awesome and the weapon rips are SO much better.

I know, right! That alone make you feel like you're playing a totally different kind of game.

It would be good, I guess, if the enemies didn't consist of zombies and aliens. I see a lot of mods use the doom grunts as the opposition because a lot of clients like Skulltag have the ability to play with bots. If those were added + reduced movement speed was implemented it might fit better rather than one-hit-kills on every threat.

also mod does not have great critical hits like brutal doom. if brutal doom had a collection of badass weapons/iron sights on shotguns i'd be set. i don't like brutal doom's excessive gore (i love it) but the critical hits like headshots are done PERFECTLY
You all fail to realize that this mod was made just to have a laugh. It's looks awesome though, and I want it!

Well now there's a hidden MP-40 ssg to choose from... :v:
I was hopping it would be a cod like game but with doom weapons.

what? that's a lot of effort put in for "a laugh"
I loved the use of, I think, Renegade sounds.
IMO, it looks really bad.
I've never played Doom 1, but I'm pretty sure it didn't have the ridiculous feature known as automatic health regeneration. It really ruins a game to add pointless bullshit such as that. And of all games to merge with Doom, does it HAVE to be MW2? Why can't there be a Doom mod that mashes up Doom and Half-Life 1 or 2? That would be so much better in so many ways.
But that's just my opinion.
Edit: There is a disagree rating.
There is also a 'Dumb' rating, which you just harvested.
I think it looks pretty badass if you don't take it too seriously
If i was that good at getting Ironsights and stuff into Doom, id bring the Killing Floor Weapons over to Doom.
A KF Total Conversion for Doom would be great.
This is even better:
How do you install this anyways?
Drag the PK3 file onto your Skulltag/ZDoom executable OR create a shortcut with path to the the PK3 file added to the "Target" field in shortcut's properties.

I like how the guns look like they're from an early 1990s FMV game. :buddy:

I was just posting my opinion on it.
The mod was well made (excluding health regeneration), but it's not a good idea. It's uncreative, too.
Just because it's call of duty its uncreative?
I played through doom 1 and doom 2 with this mod, it was fun.
This is sacrilegious.

no sorry we're talking about doom not halo
Downloading it.
that sure is nifty
That's about the most boring way you could possibly mod a game. It's a downgrade from regular DOOM.
If you guys think its bad, you should see the original mod (Real guns advanced 2) before the original author quit (and released all his files, thus the birth of RGH).
Oh and, don't be hating it just because it has COD rips. It's challenging and hard for its own reasons.
Something about the sounds in CoD games makes it so satisfying to hit enemies.
Is the only difference ironsights, or is there a miniature campaign that goes with it?
