I like this channel.
Pretty important for "nice guys" to figure out.
I used to do this all the time in high school, and it was (almost) always very well received (girls like it a LOT, as Viper_ has mentioned, while a lot of "nice guys" think it's you being a dick).
College, not so much. Something about the kinds of people a Liberal Arts education attracts is some incredibly narcissistic and fake people who don't WANT anyone to realize what's really going on underneath, because it's an intentional front. It's pretty sad, really.

The School of Life is a great channel for this kind of philosophy stuff. Sometimes I get worked up over things I seeand write an angry post but then I remember the video they made about being offended and I don't. I like to think I'm a better person because of that.

I know a lot of people who can't take even playful criticism, for years even I was that way. I would say it is a maturity thing, but I have constantly met adults who think every single thing that is directed towards them should be positive

Well maturity comes from experience and experience requires time but yes, people can just chose not to understand the world. It also varies from person to person how well they can understand the world in the time they are able to.
