The opening part of the trailer actually showed what looked like a competent drama film. Very nice, Michael Bay.

And yes, I honestly don't understand how come some people can't enjoy a movie like this--and they go out of their way to bash it to death. Not only this movie is not supposed to be taken *that* seriously (well it's fiction, after all), but just look at it... it's a giant robot riding a goddamn robotic dinosaur, for fuck's sake.

I don't hate the movie cause I think it's just dumb action like most arguments against it. I just dislike the series because it feels so far removed from the transformers I know and love. Most of the character dynamics that I grew up with are gone, and it feels like Michael Bay is just like, lets just make everything "cooler". In this movies favor though, I do like how there seems to be more color, and action is slightly more visible. And the addition of dinobots is cool and all, but I doubt were gonna hear lines like "ME GRIMLOCK, ME SMASH". That being said, this was my favorite movie as a child, and I watched it so many times growing up:

Because you know you're going to have to sit through at least an hour and a half of wacky human antics and old man ass.
The one thing that seems to bug the fuck out of me in these movies, is that some explosions have those sparkle flares shooting out of them, 2:03 is a good example.
What the fuck are those sparkles suppose to be?
Marky Mark is my man! I like all of these movies. But i am getting tired of these super hot, big lipped, dumb girls.
I never really liked plots in which the initial forces or characters are condemned or are past their prime or past their age, such as in that Underworld movie, they are just really depressing to me.
