I like the cheesy voiceover. Reminds me of the cheesy voice acting in Symphony of the Night

Didn't know this was coming up. I'm definitly interested.
This honestly looks way better than I was expecting. I think the voice-acting's not half bad, either. I hope this lives up to the hype!

i had no idea this was suppose to be animated
:snip:
Yaaay, it's animated.
That was exactly what I was hoping for.
I like what I see so far, what little there is of it. And as far as Castlevania goes, this does seem like the way it ought to be done.
And frankly, I'm astonished that it took THIS long for a Castlevania anime to crop up. Closest we had to such a thing beforehand was the animated intro to Dawn of Sorrow.
I'm liking the look of it.
I'll be kind of hype if that was Castlevania 4 Dracula at 1:06.

What the fuck is this. They took out Dracula's two best lines before the fight, hell his whole speech is better written in the original—it sounds try hard as shit in the redub.
i can watch this without having played any of the castlevania games, right?
I'm interested in this.
i thought that intro was pushing the "remember the 80s????" angle a little too hard but i cracked a smile at that nintendo netflix

Pretty sure. You don't really need to play Castlevania 1 or 2 to get into 3, and since this show is based on Castlevania 3's base story then you should be good to go.
Besides, Castlevania 3 is a prequel to the first game anyway so this might be a good place to start, hopefully.

Dracula comes back to life. X Belmont kicks down the door to his castle then gives evil a jolly good spanking. The End. Repeat until Symphony of the Night is released.
I wonder if the witcher series will be animated, then?
I'm actually really in to it, I think it could be genuinely enjoyable.

It has been near 10 years since I got a good Castlevania experience until I picked up Dead Cells just a few days ago, and this is only just over a month away to help carry it through. I'm just fucking psyched.
I feel bad for only playing Lords of Shadow, which I thought was great, but apparently LoS2 failed to kick-off a reboot of the series it was intended to be. Time to pick up SOTN at the PSN when I get around to it.
Art style reminds me of the Devil May Cry anime
This is definitely out of left field. I haven't played too many of the games from that series, but it looks like an interesting take on the series.
If there isn't at least one fully roasted turkey in a wall...
This is the art style I was hoping for, here's hoping this can stick the landing.
Hopefully this helps pave the way for more adult-oriented animated series on Netflix.

Any info on which series this is based off of? I'm thinking 3 because that mage could be Sypha, and there's two different vampire dudes who could be either Dracula or Alucard.

That looks sweet. Almost looks like they went with the LoS version of Dracula.

Pretty sure that was grant in there too, so we're prolly in three/sotn territory, though they might switch out trevor and simon cause recognition

They've stated that it's based on Castlevania 3. The mage is explicitly Sypha and the Belmont in the trailer has Trevor's scar, plus the blonde guy is clearly Alucard. I'm sort of expecting them to make it Simon because that's the one everybody knows, though.

I'm also certain the dude throwing the knives at the end is Grant. If they got the whole Castlevania 3 cast here then I doubt they'd switch Trevor out for Simon, it would seem really weird.
reminds me of vampire hunter D bloodlust
