The description of his exchange with the google AI pretending to be a human and intentionally wasting his time really got me. "Don't be evil" really got completely flipped on it's head, geez.
And analogy he made to showing up to work and being told "Oh, the bot fired you, no idea why, goodbye". This shit goes a bit beyond just typical "youtube drama", if you look through the cracks you can catch glimpses of shit you'd expect to read in a futuristic dystopian future novel, and it's real. Google is rediculously huge and they're leading the charge here, it will be a long time before other industries catch up but i could see this kind of thing becoming widespread.
Truly insane.
What the fuck, their extra line of support for bigger youtubers is literally a bot? How can they get away with this nonsense and nobody noticed it before?
Thrand's channel is back, by the way. This type of thing has been happening for the longest time and if a youtuber is big enough and has enough supporters they can pretty much always get their channel back up.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Google fired the rest of the YouTube team and replaced them with genAIs :v:

It's actually been noticed a lot, lol
Had the infamous limited ad thing happen a little bit ot me last night. A video that was monetized for some reason on my channel that literally consisted of doing nothing but walking around in minecraft not saying anything was deemed "advertiser unfriendly".
