Dishonored thread? Dishonored thread. This guy is some kind of wizard.
It's on sale for $30 on steam right now too. I just picked it up.

I'd love to see pre-release gameplay from this guy. Or E3 gameplay of new DLC or Dishonored 3 rather than some chucklefuck on a gamepad. You'd start it and say "this is the guy you need to get rid of, you've got these powers and they can be used to do this and that. Now watch Dunwall Jesus do it".

I tried running the demo of this game and I could not get it to run at a stable framerate at all, I really loved what I played of the game but even at the lowest settings I could get it to run well.
If you're not running it on a potato, the games pretty well optimized.
If you're not running it on a potato, the games pretty well optimized.
No. The performance is a wreck. It was worse on release but it's still not fixed. On release some could not run it on 1080s while others with 980s could run it better. The game actually ran better with graphics details turned up rather than down sometimes. And sometimes it just didn't matter. It was and still is inconsistent as fuck and they will never be able to fix it. Framepacing all over the place. Framedrops that can't be fixed. It's all thanks to the id Tech 5 engine which is just one of the most unoptimized game engines on the market. For some it miraculously works, for others (even if they have better PCs) it won't run as good. If it runs good for you, consider yourself truly lucky. For each person where the game runs with no problems there will be 1000 others where it will have massive issues.

Ran fine on release. You name it, it's run well for me. It's not like I have a great rig or even good luck I don't doubt these problems exist but it seems to be a tad exaggerated
Lucky for you that Arkham Knight ran fine. It was also a mess (even a bigger one than D2). The problems of D2 exist just as they existed for Arkham Knight. You can take looks into various forums and you will see a lot of people having issues. And like I said, it's inconsistent as hell. Others with less powerful PCs might have less problems than somebody with the latest top notch hardware.
not a dishonored thread without
If you're not running it on a potato, the games pretty well optimized.
It's the only game I've seen where the recommended specs is a 1060. That's not very well optimised at all.
the games pretty well optimized.
haha, good one
It's the only game I've seen where the recommended specs is a 1060. That's not very well optimised at all.
Mass Effect Andromeda has the same for 1080p 30fps recommended. Not that it really needs a rig that good.
I tried the demo and it ran like arse on my 1070 on the default settings. I looked at a vista or the ocean and had drops from 80 to 30. Meanwhile the game at 1080p looked like a jagged mess and the AA spread vaseline on the monitor.
If you're not running it on a potato, the games pretty well optimized.
I have a GTX 1060, which is recommended in the specs.
Looks really good on my 970, ranging between 60 and 90 fps.
On my R9 290 it looks really quite good and runs about the same as you. The game looks great on lower settings, so people should be turning stuff down if they're running into performance issues.

It's the strangest game I've tried to fiddle with to try and get steady framerate, I don't care what the game looks like I just wish it would run more smoothly.
meanwhile idk how the fuck I'm playing this on my gtx 680 with somewhat stable 60 fps these specs work in the nth dimension or something
