I just ordered peter jacksons king kong for the xbox 360 after watching this. One of my best ps2 games as a kid, excited to play it again
The guy who is doing the mo-cap for Kong did the mo-cap for Koba in the new Planet of the Apes movies.
This looks pretty good too, that shot with his silhouette in front of the sun looks so good

ok so tell me why a forgotten island full of creatures that man has never seen before and forgotten tribes that live amongst these creatures isn't creepy as fuck.
this film had a lot of potential to be good but from this trailer i feel like they've blown it in an effort to fit in with the current popular trend (ie, marvel-esque quips)

I'm sick and tired of super serious monster reboots. And there is a first trailer that is less comedic.
I mean if there's one insane comedic relief character who turns out to be both informative and insane, then I'm okay with that in a "serious" movie.
I could never really take any monster film seriously

I believe so. And this movie is is by the same producers as Godzilla 2014.
