Being trilingual, I can vouch the effectiveness of children's cartoons. I picked up the English language entirely by watching nickelodeon as a kid. Blues clues, rugrats, etc. Well, fortunately for us (especially myself). Dora the Explorer, the Hispanic delinquent, also speaks Mandarin Chinese. Who would have thought! Although I haven't extensively used Rosetta Stone so I don't have much of an opinion.
