We haven't confirmed pricing yet, but aim to get it in* the $400-$600 range (this includes tracking hardware and software, so the full Omni motion interface)
Damn, I had this idea years ago :v:
How do you rocket jump?
This is almost perfect, but how do you crouch with this?
Imagine this with Amnesia...
OMG if this thing is in the $400-600 range I will shit my pants (no toxx plz). That's affordable as fuck for something that will basically immerse you completely into the world. Movement was the missing link for vr gaming.
OMG
Can I use my Razer Hydra while playing on the Omni?
Yes, the Omni will support the Hydra.
He jumps with a button, I assume he also crouches with a button.
It's cool but I don't really thing it adds to the experience that much. Definitely a good workout though.

According to the site you can bend over to crouch. Failing that, I'm sure you could map a button on whatever wireless controller to crouch.
I'm sure some industrious enthusiasts with the right dedication will figure out a more natural solution.

the omni's software can take kinect input
I wonder how this would work with Ricochet...

imagine the workout this sucker gives you
a treadmill i would actually use might actually be worth the price compared to a regular treadmill anyways
gentlemen
the answer to the obesity epidemic
I'd go for a virtual run in the Himalayas while picking shit up with Hydra hands and throwing them into the canyons below.
hot damn this would be amazing for an actual modern combat game
Imagine arma with this.
How durable is the oculus against sweat?
Imagine arma with this.
Pretty much this. Or DayZ. All those hours spent running through forests would be the most intense workout ever. Kids would never be fat again.

With horror games you could provide half the energy your house needs to run off of a single game.

Sure, but doesn't the omni treadmill have a max weight limit? And would that ring around the waist be retractable?
This would be a good way to lose some weight.
this combined with mirror's edge
it'll turn you into a super slim parkour master
Imagine arma with this.
I just came,
Can't tell how freaking awesome that'd be!
This shit right here is why I want to be a computer scientist.

I'd go for a virtual run to Riften while picking shit up with Hydra hands and throwing them at goats
