Tropico 3.2
I greatly enjoyed Tropico 4, and it actually looks like Tropico 5 had a lot of effort put into it. £32 is a bit steep though, think I'll wait a few months before actually getting it.
Seems like more of the same + a lot wider timeline. Works for me. I really love Tropico 4, and will buy this, after the price drops a bit.
Ive never play a Tropico game, would this one be a good one to kind of jump into you think?
Probably, Tropico 4 was apparently very similar to Tropico 3, and I started playing on Tropico 4, but this looks like they've taken Tropico 4 and improved it, whilst actually adding a fair amount of content, plus multiplayer and such, I believe. Should be easy to get into.
What is the difference between Tropico 3, 4 and 5? I never found out what Tropico 4 added that 3 didn't have. They are fun games yes but i have no clue what is new with every iteration.

It feels very much like a mod/large update, but not a new game. I won't be buying Tropico 5 until it drops massively in price. I don't really see much point in buying it at all as I literally played Tropico 3 & 4 on a long session once, building everything before getting bored. There's a lot of periods where nothing interesting happens, or you're in the financial crapper.
Was it only me who reacted at 0:15 when a pedestrian was driven through by a car? Anyways I agree with you all, it's getting pretty silly how they release them as new games without almost any new content at all. Getting it on sale at most.
the fact that it's got multiplayer is more than enough of a reason for me to get it and to force my friends to get it [editline]18th April 2014[/editline] plus the music oh god the music

Are you people fucking blind or just too jaded? :v: Even the eras alone seem to add enough content for a proper sequel
Are you people fucking blind or just too jaded? :v: Even the eras alone seem to add enough content for a proper sequel
I'll hold criticism until after it comes out, but Tropico 4 was a fairly poor excuse for an outright sequel, should have been an expansion really.

The truck drives through a person at 0:17.
This has a load of new content though?
No, this is like all of the current games moshed together afaik. I might as well play them one at a time instead of shelling out 50€ or whatever.
The truck drives through a person at 0:17.
wow shit game 0/10
Didn't buy 4 but did own 3. Would anyone say that the gap in content between 3 and 5 is enough for me to buy the game.
Didn't buy 4 but did own 3. Would anyone say that the gap in content between 3 and 5 is enough for me to buy the game.
...The gap in content between 3 and 5 is pretty obviously big enough for proper sequel-ness.
Man I love Tropico but they clearly need more 3D artist or something and get in more buildings. That being said the amount of gameplay features added is awesome! And that's what I care about the most.
